Agreed. My father, a WWII veteran, was a lifelong Democrat. He passed on well before Obama came along. I don’t think he would have voted for Obie or at the very least, he wouldn’t be too happy with him today. Dad had values; he would not take too kindly to anyone who trampled on them.
If it wasn’t for the brave men who were at the D-Day invasion (or any other veteran for that matter) then this person couldn’t attend a party. I respect and honor those who served our country and the service they provided. I think a country that forgets its past (and with honor) is doomed. I also would add a country that doesn’t honor/respect its veterans loses so much identity and pride.
Dennis Prager for President
I wouldn't call him a leader.
My husband’s maternal grandfather was there as well...coincidentally, his first great-grandchild (our oldest), was born on June 6, 1998. His first great-grandson (our oldest son) was born on Sept. 5th, 2002, his 77th birthday. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2004 and never met 3 of his great-grandkids—one of whom bears his last name as a middle name (our almost 3 y.o. son).
My husband takes great pride in his grandfather’s service—he actually went MIA after the Battle of the Bulge and ended up behind enemy lines and helped liberate a concentration camp. My grandfather served during WWII as well as an Air Force clerk (and went on to serve for many years afterward). He passed away five years ago around Memorial Day.
Our current occupant in the White House isn’t fit to shine their service boots.
Let’s take a look at the numbers.... Sixty-sixth anniversary on the sixth day of June.... 666
Nah.. he’d just go to Boston to the Cheer’s bar to console
Norm.
And to compound it, he attends a theater party where the honoree is none other than Bishop Desmond Tutu, buddy of the late Arab terrorist, Yasser Arafat!!!
Thanks for the ping!
My aunt was also a lifelong democrat. She served as a WAV in WWII and consistently voted democrat until Obama. She does not like him one bit.
The list, ping
same for my dad.
You have that right.
My Dad, also now deceased at 92 just recently, and a part of the D-Day invasion, hated this guy so much that he begged us to keep him alive long enough for him to pull the lever for anyone but the great one. Too bad he didn’t live to see the hopeful outcome but we will carry out his last mission, to fight what is right and defeat all those phoneys who stand in the way. Primary season is the start of the change, November is the mission for the change and 2012 is the goal of the change.
What doubt?
“It was the 66th anniversary of the 6/6 invasion.”

Seems like he would have wanted to be there for that.
I’ll bet Obama annually celebrates the Islamic Battle of Badr.
His lack of attendance was mentioned at the Memorial Service I attended and I told the older gentleman that it was probably for the best.
He paused for a moment and then said, “You’re probably right”.
I think it’s the same for D-Day too.
He is really starting to tick people off.
Our President is a douche.
