Clyburn says S.C. Dem Senate candidate a 'plant'; calls for probe

The man nominated as Democrats' candidate for Senate in South Carolina might have been a "plant," a high-ranking Democrat suggested Thursday.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) called for South Carolina to investigate the circumstances that led to Alvin Greene winning the Democratic Senate primary in his state earlier this week.

"There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary," Clyburn said during an appearance on the liberal Bill Press radio show. "I don't know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone's plant."

The third-ranking House Democrat said he found it strange that Greene, a relative unknown prior to Tuesday, was able to produce the money to register and run for Senate despite being unemployed.

Could he possibly be as dumb as this guy who is actually warming a congressional seat in Georgia? Or his predecessor, the genius Cynthia McKinney?

Democrats really are monsters. If poor Al Greene really is “mental” and manages to attract enough ignorant ‘Rat votes to get a nomination, they could at least trash him privately and not publicly humiliate the guy.

Alvin Greene got 60% of the vote, that's all that really matters.

And besides, he is at least as qualified, and obviously less demented, than Al Frankin.

Yep, the state GOP here was real worried about Jim’s chances come November. They had to try something... /s

Jokes aside, I’ve followed SC politics for decades and I have no clue as to what happened here. I’ve turned it over and over in my mind and the only thing I come back to is the inteligence of the average SC Democrate voter. Look how long Clyburn has been around.

“It is troublesome at best. I think his mental capacity may prohibit him from getting the joke.”
He said Greene should undergo “some sort of mental evaluation”

I think ALL Democraps should have a mental evaluation!!

First, the Democrats denied Jesse Jackson the VP nomination he earned for running second in the 1988 primaries.
Then they got white hack Ben Cardin to defeat Kwasi Mfume in the 2006 primary so they wouldn’t have to run a black Senatorial candidate in heavily Democratic racist Maryland. The Cardin victory over Michael Steele, a black, gave the white Democrats control of the Senate.
Now, they’re doing this to Green.
Why, oh why, do so many blacks support the party of the Ku Klux Klan?

So, now the Democrats demand an "Intellectual Litmus Test?

That's a slippery slope!!!

Especially coming from Clyburn.

Psychological projection by the Crazy Party onto the Stupid Party.

If only the Republicans were capable of this.

The democrat party IS ABLE to do this type of massive deception: Obama is a prime example.

So this guy paid his 10 grand 3 months ago and the SC Dem apparatus never looked into him? Give me a break. Sure looks like he won fair and square. If the Dem leadership doesn’t like it they’ve no one to blame but themselves.

Yes. Dumb as a stump. He can barely get out a coherent thought. It was the funniest interview I've ever heard.

One of the three things he wants to address in DC is "justice". Justice? I guess for a man facing a felony obscenity charge, "justice" would be on his mind.

The talk radio replayed the interview again this morning. Greene isn't bright and not quick either but he seems like a nice enough man. Definitely not like your typical politician which is a good thing. I just don't think he's got the mental acuity to tackle national issues.

After reading more about the felony obscenity charge I'm of the opinion that there's something fishy about that. I guess if you jump into politics and aren't one of the "chosen few" better watch out.
