My mom refused to buy his brand of sausage after he left his first wife.

I think I probably knew that at some time, but hadn't given it any real thought. I remember more about the stories of his early life than anything else. I hadn't kept up with him in years.

It looks like Dean appeared on the Daniel Boone TV show In the fifth and sixth seasons, 1968-70. Fess Parker died in March, 2010.

One of the good guys. Back in the day we loved his regular appearances (if I am remembering correctly) with Fess Parker on the Daniel Boone series.

I'll never forget the closing credits on a Daniel Boone episode I watched as a kid. Jimmy Dean was striding across a field with his flintlock rifle over his shoulder. In the sky a jet contrail was streaking across the top of the picture.

RIP. A good entertainer and likable guy.
