Heres a Blagojevich-Obama connection you may not know about unless youve been reading the Chicago newspapers for quite some time. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, D, tried to hire Eric Holder (now the U.S. Attorney General) six years ago to give a clean bill of health to a gaming company that prosecutors say had just paid Blagojevich a $40,000 bribe.
Blagojevich wanted to hire Holder to a $300,000 special investigators position, so that he would dispel allegations by state Attorney General Lisa Madigan,D, that Emerald Casino was tied to the mafia. Even as Blago tried to whitewash Emerald, the companys president had just paid off Blagojevich by giving his wife a no-work real estate fee, according to Blagojevichs federal indictment.
Holder even appeared with Blagojevich at a March 24, 2004 press conference. Nearly five years later, he failed to mention the event in a 47-page questionnaire he submitted to the Senate Judiciary Committee five days after Blagos arrest, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Holder holding out on Blagojevich connections
posted at 10:38 am on December 17, 2008 by Ed Morrissey
Up to now, the only member of the incoming Obama administration worried about ties to Rod Blagojevich was Rahm Emanuel. Today, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that another key appointment by Barack Obama hasnt told the complete truth about his work for the disgraced governor of Illinois.
Eric Holder, who already will face questions about his role in the controversial Marc Rich pardon and the deportation of Elian Gonzales, left off a key role on his resumé:
Before Eric Holder was President-elect Barack Obamas choice to be attorney general, he was Gov. Blagojevichs pick to sort out a mess involving Illinois long-dormant casino license.
Blagojevich and Holder appeared together at a March 24, 2004, news conference to announce Holders role as special investigator to the Illinois Gaming Board a post that was to pay Holder and his Washington, D.C. law firm up to $300,000.
Holder, however, omitted that event from his 47-page response to a Senate Judiciary Committee questionnaire made public this week an oversight he plans to correct after a Chicago Sun-Times inquiry, Obamas transition team indicated late Tuesday.
Team Obama claims that Holder merely forgot about this part of his work experience, but that doesnt wash. Holder completed the questionnaire after Blagojevichs arrest on December 9th.
With all of the attendant publicity, how likely was it that Holder forgot his work with Blagojevich especially on casino investigations, where one might expect to find a cesspool of corruption?
Not bloody likely. It looks a lot more like Holder wanted to minimize his connections to Blagojevich and hoped people would forget about it. Reading the Sun-Times report, its easy to see why, too.
Blagojevich had named crony and fundraiser Christopher Kelly to the Gaming Board, who would later face charges of corruption. Kellys business partner was Tony Rezko.
Remember him? Hes the man singing to the feds about corruption in Illinois after being convicted on multiple counts of corruption himself. Kelly and Rezko had interests connected to the Rosemount casino; they had options on land next to the site to build a hotel.
The Gaming Board refused to hire Holder, concerned about his connections to Blagojevich and his apparent mandate to make sure that Kelly and Rezko got their casino. Thats the verdict from retired FBI agent and Gaming Board commissioner Jim Wagner, who said that they viewed Holders appointment as a means to secure the interests of Rezko, Kelly, and Blagojevich.
Wagner wants the Senate Judiciary Committee to probe Holders relationship to Blagojevich in this manner and that gives a clear explanation of Holders omission on his questionnaire.
Remember that cesspool of corruption I mentioned? Looks like it existed after all and the corruptocrat Blagojevich felt comfortable in appointing Holder to look after his interests, and Kellys, and Rezkos. Maybe we should find out why.

State casino probe called off - Madigan’s move on hearings cited
Chicago Tribune (IL) - Wednesday, May 19, 2004
Author: John Chase, Tribune staff reporter.
Gov. Rod Blagojevich ‘s administration said Tuesday it has placed on hold for the foreseeable future an independent investigation of the Illinois Gaming Board’s decision to award a casino license to suburban Rosemont and Mississippi-based Isle of Capri Casinos Inc.
Several weeks ago, Blagojevich had announced with great fanfare that former Justice Department official Eric Holder was going to conduct “a full, open and public review” of the board’s March decision on the state’s last casino license.
But the administration said it told Holder last week to “stand down,” Blagojevich spokeswoman Cheryle Jackson said, after Atty. Gen. Lisa Madigan announced she intends to resume administrative hearings aimed at stripping the license from its current holder , bankrupt Emerald Casino, which effectively could kill the sale to Isle of Capri.
Madigan’s decision seemed to place the license sale in serious jeopardy, which is why Blagojevich no longer thought the Holder probe was necessary, Jackson said.
But with Isle of Capri expecting to score a victory Wednesday in federal bankruptcy court, where a judge has indicated he will allow the sale to go through, it’s unclear exactly what is going to happen.
The governor’s office said it is monitoring the situation in bankruptcy court and if it believes Isle of Capri is still moving forward with the purchase despite Madigan’s efforts, Blagojevich will ask Holder to begin his investigation then.
“If we find out that Isle of Capri is going to move forward despite the revocation hearings, we’ll just give [ Holder ] a call,” Jackson said. “It seemed like the whole thing was [dead on arrival] given the attorney general’s decision . . . but now we understand that might not be the complete case.”
Holder was supposed to start his investigation by April, but he never signed a contract because of two minor disputes over his $300,000 contract. The first was over how much access he would get to Gaming Board documents, and the second dealt with a waiver he sought for his Washington, D.C.-based law firm, Covington & Burling, to retain clients that might sue the state of Illinois. Holder later acquiesced on the second issue, but Blagojevich ‘s office told him he was no longer needed before the contract was signed.
Holder has not been paid anything, Jackson said.

Holder sure is the ‘go to guy’ to ‘protect and defend’ terrorists, thugs, the mafia, the black panthers and corrupt democrat politicians, isn’t he. When is this country going to wake up? There are too many people still asleep.
Holder sure is the go to guy...Follow the money....I’m sue his pockets have been lined more than once.

The Waco Cover Up
Holder was a leader in the Clinton/Reno Waco cover up.
U.S. Attorney James W. Blagg, who dared to publicly question the Department of Justice cover-up of the Waco/Branch Dividian Disaster, was personally removed from the investigation by then-Deputy Attorney General, and Clinton foot-soldier, Eric Holder.
From the Associated Press, September 14, 1999:
WASHINGTON—The federal prosecutor who raised questions about a possible Justice Department cover-up in the Waco standoff was abruptly removed from the case along with his boss, according to a court filing made public Tuesday.
Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder recused U.S. Attorney James W. Blagg in San Antonio and assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Johnston in Waco, Texas, from any further dealings in criminal or civil proceedings related to the siege. [Emphasis added]
Holder appointed the U.S. attorney in a neighboring district as a “special attorney to the U.S. attorney general.”

Just damn all these people to hell. They’ve been entwined for years. How to ever unravel?
...Operation Greylord was an investigation conducted jointly with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the IRS Criminal Investigation Division into corruption in the judiciary of Cook County, Illinois (the Chicago region).
The operation took place in the 1980s. Ninety-two people were indicted, including 17 judges, 48 lawyers, ten deputy sheriffs, eight policemen, eight court officials, and a member of the Illinois Legislature
LOL. We can hope!
I just don’t know how ... only Blessed God
can fix the growing miseries from these
diabolical overlords.
I know He will not be mocked... He must be
getting very impatient .. you can feel it in
the air .. again. It’s building.
God bless and protect us all.
I’m plenty concerned.
“How to ever unravel?”
Good question. Exposure helps, but with our press being just as corrupt as the politicians, it’s an uphill battle for sure. I’d like to start hiring private eyes to dig up all the dirt and swiss bank accounts of the media whores getting paid off by these corruptocrats. Nothing is going to improve until we out the media corruption. There’s more than just ‘liberal bias’ going on with our media. There is money changing hands....lots of money.
Did Eric Holder report Blago?
