PENSACOLA, Fla. – Laying the groundwork for an evening speech to the nation, President Barack Obama walked a pristine stretch of sand on Florida's shoreline Tuesday and pledged to "fight back with everything we've got" against the spreading oil lurking offshore.
In a speech at Pensacola's Naval Air Station, Obama took note of the painful contrasts around him: "The sand is white. The water's blue," he said. And yet, he added, "those plumes of oil are off the coast."

When the bammer said “we (the feds) have been on this disaster since day one”, he bought it. His imminent failure should prove once and for all, to anyone with a brain, that he is not infallible, the nanny state will fail, and he’ll do to healthcare what he’s doing to the gulf coast.

His nonchalant, finger-pointing towards this whole disaster is a complete disgrace.
His little parades around the Gulf, “eating” shrimp, enjoying a drink or two and declaring this his own 9/11 makes him look like an even bigger tool than I could have previously imagined. His idiocy and cluelessness is epic.
Next he’ll be running TV ads after his speech of him walking along the sand and saying “Come on down! The water’s fine!”
