We never hear these reports. They are within a half mile of Eagle Pass, Texas. It won't be long Texas and we could see a real spill of flesh instead of oil: It just makes me sick that our elected officials stood, cheered and clapped when the Mexico President spoke about the Arizona law. The Mexico President could stop the violence in his country but instead he encourages them to come to the US and let us deal with the problems.

.............This is from a classmate of mine who is a retired school superintendent and a part time Pentecostal minister. The original e-mail was sent to him by one of his friends. I thought you might be interested in this. F

Please continue to pray with us concerning the events occurring in Piedras Negras. Remember, we have 5 churches in Piedras Negras.

Last Wednesday, on the road to Allende, Some tourists from the US and Canada were visiting a ranch in Allende. There was an attempt to car jack their vehicles, (2010 Suburban and 2010 Ford F 150 Pickup) As soon as the drivers saw what was happening, they tried to turn around and drive away. One hijacker jumped on the running board of the suburban and shot the driver in the head, killing him instantly. One of the American passengers was also shot. The pickup escaped and got back to the US side of the river and reported the incident. When the driver of the Suburban was shot, the vehicle left the roadway and rolled over. THE MEXICAN AUTHORITIES REPORTED THIS AS A ROLLOVER ACCIDENT. That alone will tell you how deep the cartels control the authorities in Piedras Negras.

Yesterday morning, Sunday. Hand grenades were thrown into a Casino in Piedras Negras. We do not have information on how many were killed or wounded.

Yesterday Afternoon: In a restaurant in Piedras Negras (one block from our downtown church) two members of the Mexican Navy who were eating lunch in the restaurant were assassinated while eating.

Piedras Negras is living in fear. Thus far, none of our church members have been affected, with the exception of a member of the downtown church whose grandson was kidnapped on the street three weeks ago and nothing has been heard from him since.
We praise the Lord for all our Pastors who are standing faithfully against these attacks and giving hope and encouragement to the people. Please keep them in your prayers.

A week ago Wednesday, 4 individuals were murdered in Piedras, the following Thursday 3 more were killed. They cut the head off of one of the victims and left it on his doorstep so his wife would see it when she left the house.

We are maintaining a low profile in the work in Mexico. We are trying to purchase an old clunker vehicle to move around in in Mexico so as not to draw any type of attention to our presence.

Last month, when the chief of Police in Villa Acuna Mexico was assassinated, (18 bullet holes in the body from AK 47’s) His body was brought to Eagle Pass for burial at the request of the family. While the body lay in the funeral home, the cartels tried to enter Eagle Pass and remove his head while the body was in the funeral home. They wanted to put it on display in Mexico to show their power. The American authorities got word of it and SWAT teams stood guard on the bridges and around the funeral home.

Mexico needs your prayers. The Mexican people are precious people but their world is being torn apart by the drug cartels.
Our God is able to deliver the Mexican People. Please pray for us and with us for the churches and the Mexican people.
