Unfortunately, almost everyone of those roads, opened with great fan fare and promises, have turn into slums. Closed stores, empty malls, and homes with “security bars” on them are the rule rather than the exception.
In short, rhetoric doesn't bring improvement.
As for roads honoring BHO1 (that's right I called him a king) I have to wonder what they will look like in 5 years - much less twenty.

I would have no problem if they renamed Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, better know as OBT, which is famous for it’s prostitution, drug dealing, and every other crime you can think of to BOT, Barack Obama Trail. OBT to BOT.

Orlando now has the usual big city political pathologies and interest groups that hang about like sucker fish: strong, predatory public employee unions; politically energetic Black, Hispanic and gay communities; and a bloated City budget, presided over by crooks, incompetents, and Leftists, allied with business interests hungry for favors and patronage at public expense.
