Wow. You said it. That reporter needs to be ashamed of himself or herself. And the editor. The woman was not murdered, she was caught in a crossfire between her kids and some other kids. The emotional manipulation is breathtaking, and ascribing the tragedy to gun manufacturers is like blaming Ford for drunk driving tragedies. This wasn’t a news story, it was an editorial, a blatantly one-sided editorial at that.
The Daily News sometimes almost always posts editorials in the News section, which is why I posted this one to editorial here.
It wasn't even an editorial -- editorials are usually halfway honest. This was pure, vile, emotive agitprop, right out of Goebbels.
So what's this newsie doing -- doing evil right here in America, committing journalistic malpractice of the first water?
Why does he still have a job, writing schlock like that?
