Amen to that. Get out now rather than sacrificing any more of our troops as political cannon fodder. Same goes for Iraq. Our time of bolstering these uzlim regimes that hate the infidels anyway is long past due for getting out. Just leave a parting comment..... if we need to come back, we will bomb them back into the stone age, and let them pick up the pieces. Same goes for Saudi Arabia that is largely funding the Islamic terrorist movements throughout the world

Well, it looks like they have that anyway, only more troops are in harm’s way now, with a correspondingly more taxed and put-upon supply chain.

I largely agree—except that we have let so many muslims into this nation that I fear our own homegrown jihadis will be at our collective necks — they already are.

What a sickening demoralizing mess...

Seems to me that in Bush tenure, weren’t there six generals that came forth denouncing the war effort. The left portrayed them as courageous.

You can append whatever revenge fantasy you want to the end of it, a sudden withdrawl is surrender. There won’t be a return to bomb whoever back to the stone age. The very idea of a US military response to anything would be discredited for decades.

You can’t just curl up into a warm soft isolationist womb safe from all the scary people. It won’t work.

What you describe in your post is leadership (as you point out). Leadership doesn’t come from being a community organizer. Leadership doesn’t come from being a state Senator, or Congressional Senator. Both positions are ‘one-of-many’ where consensus is the rule.

What we have is an ineffective community organizer, practiced in manipulating people for his own edification, and using political gamesmanship to his own advantage. He is in no way qualified for the position he holds, nor are those attending him qualified for their positions. We are being led by the lost.

yeah. I remember that. Why isn’t the media portraying McChrystal as courageous?

I don't really understand the General's game plan. I certainly don't approve of him throwing his Dog Robber to the wolves*. I just hope he knows what he's doing. Guess I'll just have to trust him.

*Unless the ADC was in on it from the beginning.
