Hannity is an insider and dishing up McCain to J.D. would be bad for his career. DC insider would not trust him anymore to come on his show.
I think Hannity would do his best to make McCain look good
Debate?
This can only be resolved conclusively with a cage match!
Does O kick like a girl?
” J.D. Hayworth would be a moron to let Hannity moderate a debate. By pushing this idea shows he may be as dumb as some claim”
Please!! Who else has offered??? McCain won’t debate...Hayworth is taking what he can get. If he’d said no, you’d call him a coward. It seems NO MATTER what Hayworth does, it’s not good enough, and NO MATTER how bad McCain is, it’s never BAD enough!
At least Hayworth shows up!
McCain didnt earn the most missed votes in the senate label for nothing!
Given that McCain has spent the last ten years running for president, with more time in Iowa & N.H. than Arizona, I thought it would be interesting to see just how often the maverick bothers to show up for Senate votes.
Well, guess what, as bad as Obama was, McCain was even worse.
[snip]Sen. John McCain (AZ) the only current Republican presidential candidate who is a sitting U.S. senator has missed more votes than any other senator since Congress convened in January, with the exception of Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD), who spent months recuperating from a brain hemorrhage. According to washingtonpost.coms U.S. Congress Votes Database, Obama has missed 74 out of 93 roll-call votes (79.6%) since the end of the August congressional recess.
McCain has missed 63 out of 93 roll-call votes (67.8%) since the end of the August congressional recess. But for the entire year, McCain has missed 79 more votes than Obama; since January, McCain has missed 212 out of 403 (52.6%) roll-call votes in the 110th Congress, while Obama has missed 133 out of 403 (33.0%) roll-call votes.

June 29, 2008 Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) became the most absent member of the Senate. According to the Washington Posts votes database, McCain has missed 367 votes (61.4%) during the current Congress. In fact, CQ reports today that McCain hasnt voted in the Senate since April 8.
On the other hand, J.D. Hayworth missed only 1% of his votes in congress. (see charts!)

Hannity would have a difficult time as moderator. He’s going to have to be firing softball questions in both directions. Getting Hannity involved would be a waste of time and money.

I agree. The "Maverick" is practically a regular on his radio and TV shows.
I disagree. Follow-up questions are almost impossible in a "debate" format because it's like interviewing two subjects simultaneously. Since Sean Hannity is so stupid he doesn't even understand the term "follow-up question," he'd be perfect as a debate moderator.
I agree with you assessment of Hannity as stupid. He is hurting the GOP with his “I Hate Obama” show M-F on Fox. It is well a well known fact that Hannity is the best fundraiser the Democrats have. He needs to get away for a while and think about other more honourable ways of providing for his family.
You are so right about Hannity not having a clue about follow-up questions. Today on his radio show he asked Ollie North what he would have done if he was in command in Afghanistan and Obama didn’t send him the numbers of troops he asked for. Ollie replied. “I’d quit.” Hannity’s followup question? “Are you going to sing with me at the Freedom Concert this summer?” I kid you not.
Ann Coulter should be moderator. I’d love to see McRINO lose his cool when she verbally rips him a new one.
Hannity would not be able to STFU long enough for either candidate to make a single point. He would already be interrupting them while they were saying “hello” to one another.
Given his total inability to moderate his own TV show, I’d give him a thumbs down.
I suspect he would also act as an agent of the McCain campaign.
Yes! I heard that interview. Hannity made it clear that absolutely no McCain koolaid passed his lips.
Hannity is so in the tank for McVain it’s pitiful.
That’s the reason I no longer listen to him.
The only time I enjoy watching Hannity’s show is when he has Michelle Malkin on. He is incapable of expressing an original thought and he completely lacks wit. Recently, he referred to Obama as “the annointed one” (Rush’s term, BTW) something like three times in a 5-minute period. And that awful Bill Clinton impersonation really sucks! Fox needs to yank him off and give his show over to someone like Laura Ingraham or Michelle Malkin who are witty and actually have something interesting to say!!!
