There are two parts to the oil spill, the blow out is the responsibility of BP and the oil slick which is the responsibility of the government. It looks like the slow response of the government may be blamed on their own bumbling data. Rather than fund studies of condom usage in Tajikistan, they should have studied the flow of oil through a mile of water.

I met Shep Smith about 13 years ago in Cape Cod while he was interviewing tourists regarding a massive traffic jam that crippled the flow of people to and from Martha’s Vineyard.
