Arizona Sen. John McCain said Sunday that he does not agree with his governor's controversial statement that most illegal immigrants are being used to transport drugs across the border.
Asked in an interview whether he agrees that most illegal immigrants are "drug mules," the Republican senator said: "No."
However, McCain said Gov. Jan Brewer is still doing a "good job" for her state and is on the right track when she warns about the influence of the drug cartels in the border region.
"I think that there's a large number (of illegal immigrants smuggling drugs) and I think she's right in that the drug cartels' movement has dramatically increased," McCain said on NBC's "Meet the Press." "I may not agree with one sentence that she uses, but she's standing up for Arizona and I think that the people of my state deserve a better environment of security than the one they're getting from the federal government now."

Amen, amen!
C’mon Arizona, do something really nice for your country. Vote that lying, slippery, weasely McCain right out of office in November.
You will have our undying gratitude and respect.
He’s senile and she’s a bimbo.
Obama, the Democraps and RINOs like John McCain and his little dog Grahanesty are all helping the drug traffickers ply their illicit trade on the backs of the diseased illegal alien invasion.
Secure our borders!!
Rebellion is brewing!!

Did Brewer actually make that statement, or did Brewer say the drug rings are attempting employ most of the illegals crossing the border? Big difference.
I expect FOX will give McCain plenty of opportunity to clarify.
Somebody needs to let Juan know that we're on to him and he needs to go back to the nursing home. BTW thanks again Juan for coming to the defense of the Kenyan during the campaign. Can't thank you enough for that.
How long has McCain been an Arizona senator? When have you ever heard him talk about closing the border or have any such concerns about it - until it's now time for him to run for re-election!
His concern is all about McCain keeping his power- not about the citizens of Arizona.
He's an old, useless Republican back stabber. They need to get rid of him.
Correct, even if they're not doing any smuggling themselves, the sheer numbers provide camouflage for those who are. Let's not even talk about the jihadists among the number. Simple arithmetic says if there were only, say 10 a day it's much easier to find the smugglers than the free for all on the border. It's one thing if the smugglers and jihadists are hiding amongst those crossing legally, then the others are just victims, but they're hiding among those engaged in an illegal activity, so all are guilty.
“It is hard to believe that the Pres. calls it irresponsible “
When Fauntleroy opens his mouth, Communist propaganda comes out.
Throw this putz out at the voting booth.
McCain wasn’t even aware [or at least claimed he didn’t know] that there was violence along the border when he was running for president.
“Sorry but I find this easier to read”.
Subject: More Krentz facts!
I was just in Sedona, AZ until Apr. 25, and this was big news there. In AZ 70 % of the people are in favor of the bill the AZ Gov. just signed.
It is hard to believe that the Pres. calls it irresponsible and that the news media is playing up the racial profiling when the problem there is huge! AZ has nearly 1/2 MILLION ILLEGALS in the state and the crime rate is un believable among them in Phoenix and Tucson and even worse along the border in the border towns.
The people in the worst situation are those who live in the isolated ranches and farms, they are facing a losing battle with little or no federal aid. They are out gunned, out manned and by all accounts we are being invaded by the cartels. Please pass this on to your email list.
Subject: Mexican Assassins
As you know, one of the local ranchers was murdered in Douglas two weeks ago. His funeral is tomorrow. I received three messages similar to the one below from different officers within the Rangers and law enforcement.
Yesterday afternoon I talked to another rancher near us who is a friend of ours and whose great grandfather started their ranch here in 1880. These are good people. He told me what really happened out at the Krentz ranch and what you wont read in the papers. The Border Patrol is afraid of starting a small war between civilians here and the drug cartels in Mexico .
Bob Krentz was checking his water like he does every evening and came upon an illegal who was lying on the ground telling him he was sick. Bob called the Border Patrol and asked for a medical helicopter evac. As he turned to go back to his ATV he was shot in the side. The round came from down and angled up so they know the shooter was on the ground. Bobs firearm was in the ATV so he had no chance. Wounded he called the Cochise County Sheriff and asked for help. Bleeding in the lungs he called his brother but the line was bad so he called his wife but again the line was bad.
Several ranchers heard the radio call and drove to his location. Bob was dead by this time. The ranchers tracked the shooter 8 miles back towards Mexico and cornered him in a brushy draw. This was all at night. The Sheriff and Border Patrol arrived and told them not to go down and engage the murderer. They went around to the back side and if you can believe it the assassin managed to get by a BP helicopter and a Sheriffs posse and back to Mexico . So much for professional help when you need it.
One week before the murder Bob and his brother Phil (who I shoot with) hauled a huge quantity of drugs off the ranch that they found in trucks. One week before that a rancher near Naco did the same thing.
Two nights later gangs broke into his ranch house and beat him and his wife and told them that if they touched any drugs they found they would come back and kill them. The ranchers here deal with cut fences and haul drug deliveries off their ranches all the time.
What ranchers think is that the drug cartels beat the one rancher and shot Bob because they wanted to send a message. Bob always gave food and water to illegals and so they think they sent the assassin to pose as an illegal who was hungry and thirsty knowing it would catch Bob off guard.
What is going on down here is NOT being reported. You need to tell people how bad it is along the border.
Texas is worse. Near El Paso its in a state of war. 5000 people were killed in Ciudad Juarez last year and its over 2000 so far this year. Gun sales down here are through the roof and I get emails from people wanting firearms training.
Something has to be done but I dont hold out much hope. These gangs have groups in almost every city in the US . This is serious business.
The Barrio Azteca and their sub gangs are like Mexican Corporations and organized extremely well. If this doesnt get dealt with down here you guys will deal with it on your streets.
Yesterday San Diego City Council passed a resolution, 7-1, to condemn Arizona Radio talk show host Rick Roberts conducted a poll that proved We the People of San Diego APPROVE Arizonas Immigration law 97% to 3%.
She should have used the word ‘many’ as opposed to most.
The cartels control the smuggling corridors. When they need to move a load, they will use the easiest method. Illegals are one of the easiest. And none of them are going to try to take off with their cargo. There are two reasons for this. One is that the guards have full auto AK-47s or M-16s. That is also the reason that DHS doesn’t intercept those attempts. Second, the illegals have no idea where they are, and no other way to get where they are going. Getting left in the desert to die doesn’t sound like a pleasant way to die, does it?
So no, what Brewer said isn’t ‘Guam tipping over’ type stupidity. Until last year, the Feds wouldn’t prosecute anyone bringing in under 500 pounds of pot. And since a person can’t carry 500 pounds of anything, how many illegals were prosecuted for it? None. The rules have changed some, but most will never see the inside of a courtroom because of ‘budgetary constraints’.
How do I know all this? I live here in southern AZ. To paraphrase Tina Fey’s piss-poor attempt at lampooning Sarah Palin, “I can see Mexico from my front yard.” And the view isn’t pretty, and getting worse.
Is there a
paragraph
in there or just one, big, long run on sentence?
