Of course, we are assured that the high taxes will be properly spent to reduce our "carbon footprint". The truth is more stark: the only thing that will be reduced is the private citizens "liberty and prosperity footprint".

Every motor vehicle and power plant in New Zealand could be shut down tomorrow and one day's production at one of the 20 coal fired power plants that China brings online each week would make that move irrelevant.

This is impossible because 0bummer promised not to raise taxes on anyone earning under $250,000. Therefore Cap and Trade cannot possibly increase prices......
