This article is about the Declaration of Independence (1776), not the Constitution (1789).

They have nothing in common? Discredit the Founders and you discredit both documents. Prove one is flawed and you have a case for the other being flawed.

No one said they have nothing in common, but that was not the argument Jean S was making. You and Jean S were both speaking about this as if this article referred directly to the Constitution. I was just clearing up what read like factual confusion.
