Re: Steele and the RNC: Allow me to chime in with my usual observation on this subject: This is a job for Sarah Palin. Palin would be a much better RNC chairman than presidential candidate or freelance kingmaker. She'd raise tons of money and help recruit good candidates, i.e., she'd excel at doing the things Steele should have been doing instead of appointing himself Republican pundit-at-large.
A Chairman Palin would help set the right tone for the Republican party without having to get herself entangled in the minutiae of policy-development, which has not been her forte. Sure, she'd be polarizing, but so is Barack Obama, and these are polarized times. And it's one thing to have a polarizing party chairman, another to have a polarizing candidate.
Anybody disagree?
LOL. Right. And no love fest either.
Sarah 2012 and BRING IT ON!
I found this quote today while browsing wiki. It is by Lincoln from a speech in Peoria in 1854.
Our republican robe is soiled and trailed in the dust. Let us repurify it.
Well, there's a perfectly simple reason for that, after all. ;)
Bump!
You Betcha!
I think that's already happening to a large degree. Donations to the RNC are way down, while direct contributions to individual candidates' campaigns are way up.
The People are taking back control from the party. Next stop: the federal government.
...waiting for President Palin to eject Obama from the White House and start the long overdue (about 24 years) spring cleaning of the federal government...
I'm really looking forward to the long overdue "spring cleaning" of the gov't and every institutional infestation of liberals. I honestly feel that a great rebirth of this country is right around the corner.
You betcha!
I don’t think that BHO will run for reelection; however, I’m not so sure that Hillary will be able to get nominated, instead.
Huh?
I read they bid in the first round, and will lots of others were eliminated; the top tier bidders are now going to bid again.
Don't get me wrong, I do not really LIKE newsmax, but I never read that they were "barred" from bidding - they simply cannot participate in the next round of bidding, along with other lowball bidders.
LOLOL
No prob; would have missed it myself, had I not chanced to check out Newsbusters that day. ;)
It’s just absolutely unbelievable, LOLOL @ Wapo!!!
He’ll run if he thinks he can win.
Yah, one of the big media outfits owns Newsweek. They said they wouldn’t accept NewsMax bids. There’s a thread somewhere in FR in the last several days that mentioned it.
LOL! that is a hoot
The problem is Palin has to many prior commitments lined up already. Palin still has to film her Alaskan series and wrote her next book. Then by the end of August Palin hit the road again with speeches and gear up for the election season. By the end of November her book will be out and another book tour will commences.
So I would say Palin has a full plate right now.
