No, it is not a joke. It was on the news yesterday. I was a tad surprised to hear that Anthony Weiner wasn’t having a Jewish wedding, now I find out who the bride is that explains that.

I’m not sure how Clinton is authorized to perform the ceremony though. I’ve never heard of another pres doing this, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the pres could do that, but not sure you’d retain that authority.

Maybe Bill is a member of some mail order church that makes you a rev.

Since he's 45 and unmarried, I'd assume that it's that winning personality and his golden tongue that have kept him from finding any woman who'd want him. I recently attended a wedding in Pennsylvania where the bride and groom essentially married themselves, using a special type of marriage license which permits this. They had a friend “officiate.” Since he was not legally required, he needed no legal authority. I suspect New York has some similar procedure, so Clinton would not need any authority to preside.
