No, the problem is her stand on major issues like the Law of the Sea Treaty and the Bush bailout. I like Sarah but do not want to see the conservative movement accept someone as their leader who has been on the wrong side of such major issues. That has been my objection since I started to have an objection. There is NO WAY I can excuse support for the Law of the Sea Treaty. Given that support, her support for the Bush bailout, the warm reception that McCain's choice of her as a running mate received from the Alaska NEA, her initial support for the "Bridge to Nowhere" and her over the top assertion of McCain being the conservative leader in Congress, I cannot support her as the next leader of the conservative movement. I see almost as many problems with her as I do with Mitt Romney. My hope is that, after the 2010 elections, a genuine conservative will emerge who will lead the revolt against the slide into statism.

Hey rabs, using Sarah's endorsement of McCain to trash her is pitiful. It's common knowledge that the FR Sarah haters didn't like Sarah long before she endorsed McCain.

If Sarah's endorsements were the make or break factor for every candidate that solicited or otherwise asked for the endorsement, Hoffman would've won in NY-23.  The people of Arizona will ultimately decide the election, and Palin's endorsement is not going to be the difference between a McCain win or a McCain loss.

JD isn't a stranger to the state's voters and if JD can't beat McCain, perhaps there is something lacking in his campaign, whether it is an under-performing campaign strategy, not enough funds or feet on the ground, a poor campaign theme, uninspiring, ineffective ads, etc.

I hope you bleeding hearts have donated to JD's campaign. I did!!

At least be forthright and don't masquerade “your outrage” for Sarah Palin personally by feigning indignation about the McCain endorsement, since you disliked her long before that.

When was this recorded? You guys keep talking about Sarah still campaigning for McCain as though she is "actively" as we speak talking to the campaign people, talking to John about strategy etc... These are recorded messages that was cut awhile back, yes she endorsed McCain and yes she did do a rally/fundraiser for him back in Feb or was it March?

You have no idea what Reagan would have said. And there is little evidence from the life of Reagan that he would have called McCain part of the problem. Remember Reagan was the "Big Tent" guy, the "80%" guy.

Reagan was a rock-solid conservative, but during his Presidency did not seem to put a lot of effort into attacking republican senators, even when they were not as conservative as he was.

I have no idea what Reagan would say today about McCain. And neither do you.
