Campus Thought Police: Opposition to Homosexuality Doesn’t Exist
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Calvin Freiburger

Being force-fed a single side of the story is only half of the problem with classroom indoctrination; the other half is silencing the other side. At Chicago Now, Emily Zanotti has a simply unreal story about a professor who was fired for discussing the Catholic Church’s teaching on homosexuality—in a class about the Catholic Church’s teachings:

Howell, who taught Introduction to Catholicism and Modern Catholic Thought, says he was fired at the end of the spring semester after sending an e-mail explaining some Catholic beliefs to his students preparing for an exam.

“Natural Moral Law says that Morality must be a response to REALITY,” he wrote in the e-mail. “In other words, sexual acts are only appropriate for people who are complementary, not the same.”

An unidentified student sent an e-mail to religion department head Robert McKim on May 13, calling Howell’s e-mail “hate speech.” The student claimed to be a friend of the offended student. The writer said in the e-mail that his friend wanted to remain anonymous.

Zanotti is dumbfounded:

Gaystapo;

Homo-Leninists in action; unable to handle a philosophy, but willing to force others to submit to their beliefs and lifestyles.

Granted that I started college after my military hitch, but just because they teach it, and, to get through the course, you have to repeat it, doesn’t mean that you have to believe it.

I only got a portion of the indoctrination, since my major was EE, where crap just doesn’t work, but the BS was everywhere, even back in the 70’s.

Of course morality and law come from God. He is the only one who has that power and authority to say what is good, and what is evil.

Liberals, homosexuals, and sinners of all stripes know this in their hearts (see the book of Romans), but will not (NOT) abide by God.

I've often wondered what people think they are going to do when confronted by God's justice.

Do they think there will be some kangaroo courtroom, where they hire Johnnie Cochran? Do they think they are going to cross examine, and then somehow embarrass God?

No - none of that will happen. The lost sinner will suddenly find themselves in imaginable pain and terror, cast into Hell itself. It is due punishment for their sins and rejection of God, and at that horrible instant, even they will know it.

Johnnie Cochran found himself face to face with God's justice when he died. There was no conniving and moronic jury to fool.

He found out, and it was too late for him.

The guy is fired. There is no trial. There is no named accuser. How very tyrannical.

With all due respect, how do you know that Johnnie Cochran ended up in Hell?

While Johnnie Cochran may have had some infamous clients, he also was very generous to the poor with his very effective legal representation. He was well known for defending "the OJs but also the 'no-Js.'"

I will even dare say that as our right to an effective defense while being accused of a crime comes directly from God himself, that someone who provides these services, in a very effective manner, especially to those people who could not otherwise afford it, is helping greatly to further the cause of God in this world.

Funny, had the professor been none other than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who proclaimed to an audience at Columbia University that homosexuality “wasn’t a problem” in Iran, he might still have a job.

Apparently He's clued you in as you then go on and tell us what God really thinks.

Maybe Cochran can get you off on that Pride & Hubris charge.

Technically, he was not fired. Since he was an adjunct professor, his contract simply won’t be renewed. That being said, its wrong to ask this guy to teach about the Catholic religion and then blackball him for (correctly) explaining its tenents. Actually, it represents intellectual dishonesty of the highest order. Too bad for the students. Universities should be about first and foremost about truth, not enforcing PC doctrine.

One problem with government schools, is that they raise little weasels: "The writer said in the e-mail that his friend wanted to remain anonymous."

So, we are asked to believe that the mild and correct explanation of Catholic thought so offended the little dear, that the little dear has to be protected by anonymity. BS, argue your case in public.

This reminds me of that hero of the Soviet Union, Pavel Morozov, here's the first paragraph from Wikipedia:

"Pavel Trofimovich Morozov (Russian: Па́вел Трофи́мович Моро́зов; November 14, 1918 – September 3, 1932), better known by the diminutive Pavlik, was a Soviet youth glorified by Soviet propaganda as a martyr. His story, dated to 1932, is that of a 13-year old boy who denounced his father to the authorities and was in turn killed by his family. It was a Soviet morality tale: opposing the state was selfish and reactionary, and state was a higher virtue than family love. His story was a subject of compulsory reading, songs, plays, a symphonic poem, a full-length opera and six biographies. The cult had a huge impact on moral norms of generations of children.[1] There is very little original evidence related to the story, much of it a hearsay provided by second-hand witnesses."

So, the little creep turned in his parents to the Communists. Here, we have a little creep turning in his (her?) teacher and hiding in the corner. This is sick, sick, sick. This is the type of person, who ends up working for the Eichmans of this world.

They’re all working for the same “guy”, under the direction of the same prince [of the air].

Feminists, leftists, “progressives”, Muslims, homos -
all working to establish Satan’s kingdom on earth before he is cast in the lake of fire for eternity.

I really don't, and you're correct about that.

What I do know is the life he lived, a life full of human wreckage, duplicity, adultery, child out of wedlock, prevarication, dirty deals, and lies.

"A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good, its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad.

Matthew 12:33

Now, Cochran may have had a death bed conversion and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and Lord. What a wonderful thing if that was the case!

But, "death bed" conversions are something that are very, very rare. Many pastors have stated this from their own experience.

Good works won't pay for your salvation (and even if they did, Cochran's life was nothing close to "good works" in the Christian sense by any definition). Only Christ can pay our debt. Bad works in ones life are a manifestation and testimony of what is in our hearts. All sin, however, can be forgiven - - but only through Christ.

If Johnnie Cochran was a follower of Jesus Christ, you would have a hard time finding any tangible evidence of it - anywhere.

Cochran, to me, was a metaphor of what is wrong with humanity. His kind thought they could present any falsehood, and lying argument, and "get away with it."

God's mercy is an incredible, wonderful thing. What I think we have to be careful about assuming it to always be there beyond the biblical parameters that are set forth by God. Mercy exists now because of Christ's atonement. That door is wide open, but the door is framed very specifically. It is the narrow door.

"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it." Matthew 7:13
