Red Sox fan here.
It was fun being able to bash the Boss while he was an active owner of the Yankmees. But he was a good owner and there were times I wish he had owned the Red Sox instead.
Goodbye George, you were good for baseball.

He hated to lose. He hated to lose.
But George, even the Babe Ruth teams didn’t win EVERY year!
George was also great in his charitable endeavors, often doing things quietly, behind the scendes, so as NOT to draw attention.
One of a kind. Sort of a cliche, but I think with George it really fits.
RIP, Mr. Steinbrenner. You did NYC and the Yankees proud!
