Playing the race card – unfairly raising the issue of race to delegitimize an opponent – is one of the most distasteful aspects of American politics. President Obama's "my middle name is Hussein" remark is an attempt to export this unattractive practice and use it against the Israeli public, which, according to all polls, overwhelmingly regard him as pro-Palestinian rather than pro-Israel.

President Obama compared the history of slavery to that of the Holocaust, according to the CNN Web site.
Obama called his visit to Cape Coast Castle, a slavery dungeon, “reminiscent of the trip I took to Buchenwald,” a German Nazi death camp. Israelis have good reason to be skeptical of Mr. Obama's policies, and it has nothing to do with his middle name.

You recall that Obama compared the Holocaust to the formation of Israel and the phony "Nakbah" that the Arabs brought upon themselves.
Coming on the heels of Farrakan's Hitler impersonation, this is very disturbing, to say the least.
As someone who demonstrated how this "Saying his middle name is a Smear" campaign was a Grand Canyon-sized crock of bovine excrement launched by Obama, himself, and his lovable band of Fascists.
Obama has proven that he is not just ineligible to be President - he is ineligible to be human.

Jews voted for him by 76%, so apparently is middle name didn’t much matter in ‘08. It’s only been since he got in power, dissed Israel, bowed to Middle Eastern potentates, and otherwise made clear where his priorities are that Jews started to wake up.
He had best hope the R’s run Sarah Palin in ‘12. It’s the only way he holds the “Jewish vote” That 75% would rather Heussein than an outspoken Christian woman. Otherwise, the GOP has a shot with the “Jewish vote.”
The GOP has two chances to get the Liberal Jewish vote. Slim and none. In 2008, Conservative Jews voted Republican. The problem is that there are not that many.

Well said and that is a first in my 40 some odd years of hearing that said about a president.
My old great-grandmother was dragged from her home, stripped of her belongings, transported to a camp in a foreign country and tattooed. There she was given subsistence rations until the Nazis decided it was time to send her to Auschwitz and gas her to death. Old Southern slaves were cared for by their owners and usually died natural deaths.
Obama hasn't a f**king clue.

Oh, I think of that 76% you have a fair number of - if not conservatives - moderates who could be swayed the GOP way.
If you recall, McCain was doing well with the “Jewish vote” until he put SP on the ticket. She was clobbered day and night, not least as being some sort of anti-Semitic Christian who should be feared by Jews. That was what the whole “Great Schlep” was all about.
