Reid: GOP Rooting for Economy to Fail
The Hill ^ | 7/14/2010 | Eric Zimmerman

Posted on 07/14/2010 4:00:11 PM PDT by Qbert

Republicans hope unemployment rates jump higher to give them a better shot at retaking Congress, Majority Leader Harry Reid said Wednesday.

At a press conference announcing a package of proposals to help small business, the Nevada Democrat said Republicans were obstructing legislation to help the economy for political reasons.

“They think the worse the economy is come November, the better they’re going to do election-wise,” Reid said.

Reid cited an extension of unemployment benefits as an example of legislation that would help the economy but was being blocked by Republicans.

They really, really, really, need to bring back dueling. It was the one thing that kept scumbags like this in check.

Ah yes. The days when men were men. In a more civilized society, many of our current problems would have been handled by now. You know, by men.

He makes me want to puke.””

This might make you go to full puke:

The Friday of July 4th weekend, good old Dirty Harry campaigned in Reno.

He walked the businesses of Wells AVe.

Nothing wrong with that until you understand that that area is all Mexican businesses. Not anything white.

Hrry bought some C D’s-dome only in Spanish, then he bought a western hat for over $450.

Therer are boarded up closed businesses all over Reno & major chains on hold with thoughts of moving to Reno.

Dirty Harry did his campaign trip on the street of Mexican dreams......

Another reason to realize what an ass he is.

I should also add that Mr. Reid has totally ignored the fact our income tax system is a HUGE contributing factor in our bad economy. We need to drastically simplify our income tax system so it has low compliance costs and encourages Americans to keep their savings and investments in the USA.

Too bad we can’t require a current events test for voting.””
How about a current events test for politicians?

Dem/Calif Brad Sherman told his attendees at a town hall within the last 48 hours that he didn’t know ANYTHING about the Black Panther story!!!

For the uninitiated, this is called PROJECTION.

Accuse your opponent of exactly what you’re doing.
The Clintons were masters of this art...

The Democrats were cheerleading for mounting deaths while Bush was president as well as talking up recession. If the GOP is bad-mouthing our economy, they learned it from Democrats.

Of course, he has no idea how he broke it. First, he’d have to realize that it’s broken!

These douchebags talked down the Bush economy when unemployment was 4% and the DOW over 14k. You’re damned right I want it to fail. I want riots and war in the streets so we can rid this country of these socialist bastards once and for all.

Any Republican that has voted any of Reid’s cockamamie programs is in effect rooting for the economy to fail.

Great point. Every day they were bleeting out that nonsense.

Let's don't get suckered into arguing on the terms he's implicitly defined. First, go over his statements carefully, and unpack all of the terms he uses to see what sorts of implicit assumptions are hiding inside; then attack those assumptions, not the statements themselves. And remember, there is no compromising, no appeasing, this evil.
