I did a variation of your tactic (sort of)once on an old friend of mine! He started ragging on GWB about the war. He said that all the troops needed to come home, GWB was getting them in a needless war, it was expensive, etc.... the usual gripes... Now this was paraphrasing, of course, but that was the gist of it!
Anyway, I told him I thought Pres. Bush was doing a decent enough job, and I liked him. Also I told him that this war was necessary to fight, and it was better to fight them over there, than over here! He didn’t have much to say after that, and changed the subject real quick!
I’ve noticed that the far left likes to mouth off, have the loudest voice etc but when they are confronted or when people like us make a stand and say how it really is then the far left shy away looking for an easier person they can bully.
The far left never , I mean that NEVER have facts on their side at all. They will come out with this and that but when you ask them where did they get that info from or tell them the real facts they look clueless.
Yesterday on Fox they had a money program on and a young blonde professor who was far left came out with a bunch of crap and then said it was only 2% of business owners who would be affected by tax hikes(the gist of the conversation).
A guy who works for FOX then interrupted and asked where on earth did you get that figure from, the 2% figure.
The blonde far left kook then couldn’t answer and said look it up on the internet but refused to say which website.
It was funny to see this left wing kook wriggle out of the question.
