You completely miss my point, perhaps I wasn't clear.
So let me restate in a different way.
JD should have worked harder to co-opt Deakin, by using his positions and remarks as jumping off points to further attack the RINO. He should have made an effort to rally Deakin’s supporters in his attack upon The RINO.
He failed to do that,IMHO. He ignored Deakin, when he should have recognized him, and then from his stature of experience, used Deakins position to sharpen his attack on The RINO.
I am saying, by not making any effort to win Deakin’s supporters, he made a strategic mistake.
It's not about a lunch date, it about winning an important primary, where every vote counts.
