They don’t exclude whites from joining in (even Protestants), plus they don’t degenerate into riots. They also celebrate centuries of heritage instead of celebrating decades of increasing hatred of the mainstream.

I have a confession to make. My Swiss ancestors had slaves up in the Alps during the Civil War. They grew cotton along the mountainside.
We made them wear laderhosen, and they had to yodel for their dinner. Terrible conditions. So yes, I should pay rape-erations. Even though this mysterious Swiss plantation was brilliantly planned with great foresight to keep under the radar, I’m in sin for what my ancestors did even though I’m likely more poor than the typical African American family.

I have black friends. I have black idols (Walter Williams, etc.). I have black co-workers.
I’d guess 75% of black Americans are good, decent people. However, it’s that 25% that acts like this (plus the fact that most of the other 75% refuses to speak out against it) that gives their race a bad name. Plenty of whites are screw-ups too but the difference is - whites don’t put up with it.
Look how Bill Cosby was trashed after what he said - and he’s a liberal!! If he were a conservative they’d have shot him in public.

My Native American ancestors also had a secret wampum plantition. They drank mint julips while forcing black slaves to string beads for them. So I’m doubly sinful I suppose. That was why they were called the Blackfoot Tribe.
