The Tea Party Express (website: www.TeaPartyExpress.org) today issued the following statement from Joe Wierzbicki, Coordinator for the Tea Party Express, in response to the Tea Party Federation's announcement that they were expelling the Tea Party Express from their "Federation":
"The Tea Party Express with over 400,000 members is by far larger than the Tea Party Federations entire membership. Most rank-and-file tea party activists think were talking about Star Trek when we try to explain who the Federation is. Given the absurdity of the actions by the "Federation," this is quite fitting, since their conduct is alien to our membership.
"Groups trying to say who can or can't be 'expelled' from the tea party movement is arrogant and preposterous. Perhaps this explains why so many tea party groups have left the "Federation" during the past few months. Whatever the reason, most tea party activists are focused on taking back their country and the upcoming 2010 elections and not silly power games being played by individuals such as those in the "Federation."
"To add to the absurdity of the "Federation" they have also informed us that our members can't participate in something called their "basecamp" communication network, which makes us think that the individuals involved in the "Federation" spend a bit too much time watching science fiction movies and cartoons. We here at the Tea Party Express prefer a focus that is more grounded in the Constitution and electing tea party conservatives to offices of import in these 2010 elections.
The "Federation" has enabled and empowered the NAACP's racist attacks on the tea party movement, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
"Circular firing squads of groups within the tea party movement attacking one another accomplish nothing, and on this issue the Tea Party Federation is wrong, and has both enabled and empowered the NAACPs racist attacks on the tea party movement. Which is something they'll realize when they beam themselves back from basecamp."
Well, Mark Williams is no Mark Twain and published satire should be left to those who are good at it, but I know Mark Williams. He’s a friend of mine and he’s not a racist. He’s also not stupid. And I repeat, eff the Marxist/racist NAACP and the leftist media, and those who are trying to make hay out of this. When the media and the NAACP start going after Obama and Holder and the racist New Black Panther thugs, and the racist liberation theology organization that spawned Dear Leader, and the racist/Marxist ACORN, and the criminal/Marxist thuggery of the SEIU, then we might think a little better of them. No. They’re still a wrong-headed Marxist/racist thuggery operation left over from a different era. Eff ‘em. The sooner they’re on the ash heap of history the better.
If he "made" you do anything that is your problem. Well, don't make excuses for Williams then but why tell me? I make no excuses for him, he needs none.
I don't need to defend or not defend his letter, it speaks for it's self to anyone who understands what the NAACP is really up to. His writing in the satirical area is a bit akward, but he hit on the head how the NAACP acts towards blacks.
That's why they are so mad, they are racist even against their own. Heck, they are no different than the Africans that sold their fellow Africans into slavery a couple of centuries ago.
They and the leftist politicians know they have to keep millions of people on the "plantation" of poverty to keep their voter base.
So it's slavery all over again.
Oh, and no one owns treads keep typing if you want to.
I agree with what you and Jim Robinson wrote about the NAACP. (Would that Williams were as good with the written word). But that is not the point I am making.
Do you want to win?
If you do you have to be tactically smart.
May would applaud it and then it would be gone.
Williams attempting to do something similar has helped to out the NAACP as a racist organization and caused their leaders to be seen for the white hating people that they are.
And also outed a Tea Party Collective...or Federation...as being divisive and hurtful to the Tea Party Movement in general.
Bless Mark for having the guts to speak his mind in such a tactically smart way that many missed the genius behind it.
WTG Mark (not Twain) Williams!
Im just going to keep posting this until people see it and understand:
The Tea Party Express does not recognize the National Tea Party Federation.
The Tea Party movement is not represented by the NTPF.
The tea party is not another political party. It is a group of like-minded individuals who have similar goals, ideals and objectives.
Its a movement that calls for changes - smaller limited government, drastically reduced govt. spending, less taxes, a secure border, states rights, strong national defense. We want our basic freedoms and liberties protected including gun ownership, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and protection of our property rights.
We are comprised of persons from all political venues, from all parts of the country, from all races and genders, all ages with the above issues special to our hearts foremost in our minds as we start the process of cleaning house.
Cleaning house the likes of which has never been seen. On both sides of the aisle. We dont have the time or the desire to fight amongst ourselves. Our focus should be laser sharp and pointed at any element in any area of government that does not represent the Constitution or the freedom of American people
Either the libs dont understand this, or they do understand it and are trying to shove us into a round hole in order to demonize the movement. Its hard to do that to a faceless group of people.
Well said. Thank you, MWestMom!
I will continue to advocate a class-action lawsuit against the NAACP for slander. May lose but it would make them more careful about screaming racist every breath.
It would sadden me to see the rising of the phoenix of patriotism co-opted by some glory seeking group or individual and corrupted.
My father lost the war with cancer last year in July. He was a counselor, a historian,, a patriot, and a great man. One of the last coherent conversations that I had with him was about his fear that the Republic was lost.
I assured him that there were a lot of people who weren't going to let that happen without a fight. He knew about Freepers and my pride in what Free Republic stood for and what we were fighting for. That across the nation and internationally there were thousands of people who wanted to keep the flag of freedom flying.
He expressed his concern for all of us; because as he said, history shows that those who desire to take your freedom will not tolerate dissent.
So, we'll all keep fighting the good fight!
Whatever...I have no leaders....and I deeply resent both groups claiming to speak for the “TEA Party” and by extension, me.
A pox on both their houses.
PS: Who did the TPX endorse in Idaho?
TPX doesn’t speak for anyone.
The TPF decides who is in or out of the Tea Party Movement.
In Idaho, I think Mister Potatoe Head.
I think the organization of the movement makes it weaker.
>> Unless your pen name is Mark Twain, dont do it.
That’s not even a safe bet these days, but excellent advice nonetheless.
In the Star Trek theme, folks on the Right are not of the Borg mentality and tend to disassemble if the face of political stupidity.
The “Federation” would be wise to avoid alienating fellow Conservatives when under political pressure. The high road ends at the cliff.
"Colored" is how the NAACP describes themselves.
"Massa" is how they and the liberal politicians that want to keep blacks on the welfare "plantation" treat their black "brothers"
I see only pertinent stereotypes, not "every" one.
And LOL, I don't think Williams was trying to prove how "not racist" he is.
No need for that, he hasn't every done anything that I know of that would make him seem to be a racist.
The NAACP leaders, not so much
Jesse Jackson, not so much.
Obamas (both of them), not so much.
Sharpton, not so much.
Geraldo Riviera, not so much.
The New Black Panther leader, not so much.
Hiliary Clinton, not so much.
Etc, not so much.
Too late!
LOL, I have on of those hats but it wasn’t me!
Bravo! Haha!
“Kill cracker babies.” If that isn’t racist, then the KKK wasn’t racist either. Sure, racist groups always include agenda-driven manipulators, but racism is the root of their power.
The ultimate snarky smackdown! It’s a masterpiece! You’ll LOVE it!
“The high road ends at the cliff.”
Did you just coin that? It’s brilliant! Right, like the ‘high road’ of a third party which is more pure politically. I like it.
I agree...
The TPM should stay separate, working state by state, city by city, and not joined under one huge umbrella.
They’re much, much more effective that way.
The hell with this RINO “federation”.
Funny....the closer it gets to November, the more these little “incidences” keep popping up.
I think this so-called federation is something underhanded the Rats are pushing. It stinks to high heaven.
