A black Agriculture Department employee resigned Monday after conservative media outlets aired a video of her telling an audience she had not given a white farmer "the full force of what I could do" to help him save the family farm.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said he had accepted the resignation of Shirley Sherrod, the department's state director of rural development for Georgia.
"There is zero tolerance for discrimination at USDA, and I strongly condemn any act of discrimination against any person," Vilsack said. "We have been working hard through the past 18 months to reverse the checkered civil rights history at the department and take the issue of fairness and equality very seriously."
Conservative website publisher Andrew Breitbart originally posted the video, which was quickly picked up by Fox News. The video claims Sherrod's remarks were delivered March 27 to an NAACP Freedom Fund banquet, but it is not clear that is the case, nor is it clear where the event was held or how many people were in attendance.

I think you're right ... there was a show on TV not so long ago. It was about AF1 and Obama wasn't featured but who WORKS on AF1 was. As best I remember, they were all black. That really stood out. believe Obama is so racist that he surrounds himself with fellow blacks on purpose. He USES people like Biden for show but behind the scenes it's BALCKS that HATE WHITES running the show.

...as if the location or number of people in the room is at all relevant to Sherrod's proud admission of blatant racism, official corruption and misconduct. I don't care if she said it in a bathroom in Outer Slobovia. She bragged about a crime.
CNN's "cautious" language in the face of Vilsack's strong statement and Sherrod's lightning-fast resignation is just plain intellectually dishonest. Trying to paint this as right-wing dirty tricks/out of context is outrageous.
Just days before her appointment, the Obama Justice Department settled a lawsuit by Sherrod and her husband claiming discrimination against their farm cooperative for a reported $13 million.

I think we need to start seeing ALL the videos from every NAACP speaker and meeting and start exposing the racism of such people to the light of day. Maybe we’ll start seeing more people deal with the consequences of their own racist comments.

Well, I can't tell you the exact number but back in 2000, when I was a government contractor, I read an article somewhere that even though the black population was 12 percent nationally, the Government work force in DC was 64 percent black.
Never had time to check for accuracy but if you look around here it seems about right. Plus, all the jobs here in DC are "Grade inflated" so it is an over paid make work for a minority.
Wow, the NAACP and Sherrod seem to be adapting the agricultural policies of Mugabe for the U.S. market.
