How long do you think the unemployment entitlement should go on? Until you find the perfect job? I have never collected unemployment, but I have moved across the country to get a job. I have lost a business due to the economy, but I worked two part time jobs and went back to school to get trained in something I could use to get a job.
I have no problem with about 13 weeks of unemployment, but even 26 weeks (a half year) is too long. Get a job flipping hamburgers until you find a better job. Just do not make the people who work pay for those who choose not to.

26 seems about right in a normal economy. In this one, I honestly have to say 99 weeks cause the market’s that bad everywhere.
