A House committee has filed ethics charges against Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.).
The charges were announced in a statement from the chairwoman and ranking Republican on the House ethics committee.
The statement said an investigative subcommittee had transmitted a statement of alleged violation against Rangel, and that the House ethics panel would set up subcommittee to determine whether any counts in the statement have been proved by clear and convincing evidence and to make findings of fact.
Why don’t we get that word “quietly” added, because if it was Eric Cantor it would in in 120 point text on the front of the NY Times.
Just the tip of the iceburg.
Just a few years late ...
He’ll be cleared of all wrongdoing around before the kiddies suit up for Halloween.
Even if found guilty, removed, indicted, tried and jailed, he’ll STILL get 90% of the vote in Harlem.
This thug would be re-elected, given his district of Harlem, even from a prison cell. Come to think of it, that’s probably home to most of his voters.
In the very near future:
House dismisses charges against Rangel as unfounded. President apologizes to Charles for the unjust treatment he received at the hands of racist lawmakers.
Who’s second chair on the Ways and Means Committee?
On the House Ways and Means Committee website, Sander Levin (D-MI) is currently listed as acting chairman. Other Democrat members include Pete Stark, Baghdad Jim McDermott, and John Lewis.

It’s about time. I started thinking he was going to get a “black panther” type pass. If he did, I would hope people would resign in protest.
