“Into the Abyss” index at -1.

I’ve noticed that the index has really settled in at -17 or so for the last couple of weeks.

Flatlined at -17 for most of the week?

How long has it been since this thing moved more than a point or two in any direction. It looks like we have settled into a new normal. That is of course very bad for Obama since he is 17 points to the bad and running with an overall disapproval. It may sound strange by I would rather see a constant -17 than fluctuation between -20 one day and flirting with positive territory the next. Obama lacks majority support and he is running out of ways to convince the people who view him negatively to change their minds.

I don’t get it. How can congress have an approval of 11% and the head of the snake (Barking obama) still have 43% approval? Without this piece of kenyan trash leading us down the 3rd world road, tyranny would be halted.

The strongly approving percentage is surprisingly stable at 26-28%%. That is the number of die-hard parasites in the country. A little heavy, IMHO, but manageable. They can not be convinced or argued to the opposite, therefore I would not even try. What we should be concerned with is the difference: 100-27-44=29%. These 29% are in play. The worst case scenario, if we do nothing, we can expect 1/2 of them to vote conservative: 29/2+44=58.5%!

His favorables usually run at about 24% hard-core supporters, but right now they are at 27%.
Once they sink back to normal he'll be at a -20%.

The campaign season would be a little more effective on these poll numbers if we had more candidates stumping against the policies that have been crammed down on us.
All too often, the conservatives and Pubbies are dissecting their opponent’s personl merit.

A good sign is that in the last Gallup Weekly summary it had Obama at an all-time low with Hispanics with only a 52% approval rating. What this could mean in November is that they may not show up to vote.
