I don't know the guy at all, but I can understand the comment.

Years ago a master electrician asked me a question. How much effort should be put into getting a job done? I answered: enough to get the job done adequately. Not enough effort and, obviously, the job is incomplete; too much effort wastes resources.

There is no doubt in my mind that there is some sort of problem w/ Obama's BC. But the people who have taken the time to understand the intricacies of this issue should also be smart enough to understand that it is a waste of time and effort for him to get involved with this issue. And - go figure - that appears to be what he is pointing out.

That answer reminds me of the UAW member who bragged that he could hang a dash board with 3 screws...even though the design called for 9 screws. Barely enough to do the job. Just enough not to get caught for a long time. And he saved resources, 6 screws, on every dashboard.

I worked on 180 tuna seiners. My job was to repair all the electronics on board. A half-ass job on anything could end the fishing trip at a cost of $30,000 per day. The objective was to do everything 100% so that it could endure a rigorous 6 month fishing trip without a failure. There wasn't such a thing as "adequate" if that level of quality resulted in a scrubbed trip. If the boat had to come back, you could be assured that you wouldn't be getting the repair business when they pulled into port.

His comment asking what he’s supposed to do about would indicate that he feels it’s a waste of his time. But that’s no reason to call others dumbasses for working on it or being concerned about it.

The fact of the matter is that it’s a waste of time to pass laws, if they’re never going to be enforced anyway. And this whole thing with Obama has happened because laws have not been enforced and the people who could have done something about it....... were too busy calling me and my fellow concerned Americans dumbasses for caring about the rule of law.

The people who are real dumbasses are the ones who spend their time passing laws that will never be enforced anyway. Talk about a real waste of time!
