This is really a non story and is very common in Ma.because the taxes are so high.
I agree.
If this were any one of you, the rest of us would be cheering you on because you figured out a legal way to minimize your tax burden.
Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong...

You’re absolutely right,
but no one “around here” has the intention or the power to legally rob anyone else.

You can’t raise taxes on everyone in this country,
he can and does, yet he can by-pass the taxes,
we can’t. I think it is called hypocrisy or something.

I’ve toured an $18 million yacht on the Great Lakes - the owner is in Chicago but it is cheaper for him to pay a crew to live on the boat (ship, really) and keep it away from Chicago than it is for him to take the tax hit.
It happens all over the place. That said, Kerry deserves the heat for having a New Zealand shipyard build the yacht. That was politically shortsighted and foolish.

You’re not wrong. The issue is not the amount of money Lurch is saving on taxes but rather his desire to raise everyone else’s taxes to pay for more government bureacracy and programs while the rats like himself dodge every tax they can every chance they get while accumulating the wealth they begrudge others.
It’s the hypocrisy, stupid.

Au contraire. None of us wrote these tax laws or voted them into law. Sanctimonious John Forbes Kerry inflicts big government and its costs on us, campaigns against “tax breaks for the rich”, and then skates on a huge tax liability by parking his latest toy in a neighboring state in full view of everyone.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has a firearm or two in violation of Massachusetts laws, too.

Dude, you’re missing the point. Kerry’s never seen a tax or tax hike he wouldn’t vote for. Yet he’s more than happy to evade taxes himself - it’s the rank hypocrisy that galls honest taxpayers.
I’d avoid Mass. also, to save that kind of money. But the fact that I don’t don’t vote for and enact higher taxes, and don’t vote for politicians that vote for higher taxes, insulates me from charges of hypocrisy. Unlike John Kerry, I haven’t been a Mass. senator for decades, helping create the high tax burden state that Kerry has supported.

I doubt any freepers are senators who vote for these taxes, but then I could be wrong.
