“The danger to US is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him.....

This is a comment from a reader of Prager Zeitung, a German language newspaper published in Prague:

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

"The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool.

It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.”

He does have a point.

Dear leader isn’t the problem. The problem is the idea that man has a claim on his brother’s life and Obama is the result of that belief.

This is what I have been saying.
I get flack from some FReepers for leaving the USA, but
I point out that America is being destroyed from within, not from some foreign power.
The fact that 40+ percent of Americans still approve of the Marxist thug in power tells me that America has been dumbed
down to idiot level.
Anyone with half a brain knew that Obambie was a Marxist from day one.

Bingo. Before we can change the government, we must change the people.

This means better education, a return to true Christianity, purging filth from popular culture and a repudiation of Marxist thought.

When we stand up from our computer stations and sit down at school board, town board and vestry meetings, we will have made the first steps to turn the tide.

Right on the nose -— The jug-eared(now pinned back) jackass has no character.

The most important thing, character, and being able to judge same. In fact you could say the same of all out congressional clunkers, no character.

Hence all we get is lie, cheat and steal politicians.

Statism is effectuated by a common mindset of the people.

“The people” voted Mussolini into power. The people were ready for him. When he did not provide enough Statism, they demanded it, and got it.

Truly, it is the enemy within, like Pogo said long ago...

Too many people saw no choice last time out. Dems voted in almost identically the same numbers as in 04 but five or six million pubbies simply could not hold their noses hard enough to vote for John ("the maverick(TM)") McCain.

For that matter all McCain had to do to win was bring himself to mouth four simple words ('I oppose the bailout'), he'd be president today and he could have changed his mind later if he'd wanted to.

I mean I've heard of people throwing prize fights and shaving points in basketball games but prior to 08 the idea of anybody throwing a presidential election would not have occurred to me as a real possibility.

““The danger to US is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him.....”

Unfortunately, this is very true and it will likely be that only catastrophe and suffering will bring them to their senses. Even more unfortunate is the fact that those who HAVE good sense will have to suffer as well....

I’ve always thought this way. Michael Moore never bothered me near as much as the people who touted his movies and clapped at his appearances. THEY were the people I wanted to get a good look at.

“It is less like to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president...”

A big thank you goes out to all those “brilliant”, “enlightened”, “intellectual”, Independents who are really hardcore Democrats.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your brilliant, enlightened, intellectual, really really smart decision to disregard all the heavily leftist rhetoric before the election. (One hopes you’re all still feeling brilliant, intellectual, really really smart, and “feeling” like you all graduated from an “ivy league school” just like those brilliant, really really smart, intellectual Democrats.)

(And don’t forget, the Constitution is a living, breathing document that’s out of date.)

IMHO

“So...where’d ya go?”

In Jan 2005, I went to Slovakia, which was quite nice.
I made my way as a private tutor of English conversation.

In Jan. 2009, after starting my Social Security, I moved to the Philippines, where I have a girlfriend and a nice life on
a beach, and needing very little money, and not working.

BINGO ZINGO!!!!!

THIS is the true problem....

There has always been charlatans and shady characters and there always will be.

But the fact that millions of our fellow Americans cannot see this in a politician is the true nature of the problem.

We also see this phenonomen in people supporting something as abhorant as the HealthCare bill...

The only conclusion: There really are lots of useless idiots out there...

A former mayor of our city and later an Indiana senator told me recently that 0 has saved the United States economy. And, he said that 0 will be re-elected for a 2nd term in a landslide. This man is a very bright, honest, and giving person. Unbelievable to me!

I've always wondered about all the hue and cry about Hitler. Without the actions of the German people, Hitler would have just been a silly man with a mustache.

Zero, without support, is just a street gangster with smelly feet. It's the support that's the problem.

America must be pushed to its precipice before it realizes its true course.

Our society has become weak, people will starve, will become homeless, will suffer.

If they cannot draw from within themselves to survive then the future of America will never have strength.

And I am actually hoping it will get worse, oh the horror! I’m actually wishing more people will get laid off!

Well guess what, I’m one of them.

But I am digging deep within, I pray, I gather my family together for support, I make wise and logical decisions.

If anyone else thinks they can do it better then make a DVD and get rich. And I will applaud your resourcefulness, but if you whimper and collapse and only think others will pay your way I will spit upon your path.

The only people I;m willing to openly confront on a daily basis are these people that are the cancer of America, I don’t want your disease and if you try to infect me I will cut you out quicker than a bent card in a poker deck.

(this is not a reply directed at the OP)

Blaming the people is a little bit simplistic. Most people don't care much for politics and rely on MSM outlets to inform them of some set of relevant facts. It's not really clear to me whether Obama is merely being used by others clever enough to manipulate/control the MSM or he is actually part of the "others." Whatever the case these others are part of the story.
