Obama's Policies Seen as Better than Bush's for Improving the Economy [Polling BARF!]
Pew Research ^

Posted on 07/27/2010 4:25:53 PM PDT by TruthHound

While most Americans disapprove of Barack Obama’s handling of the economy, far more think his administration’s policies – rather than those of the Bush administration – would do more to improve economic conditions over the next few years. As Congress gears up for debate over the tax cuts passed when Bush was president, the public is divided, with roughly equal numbers in favor of keeping all of Bush’s tax cuts, repealing only those for wealthy Americans, or scrapping them entirely.

In the latest Pew Research/National Journal Congressional Connection Poll, sponsored by SHRM, conducted July 22-25 among 1,004 adults, 46% say that following the policies of Obama administration would do more to help the economy improve in the next few years, while 29% say that following the Bush administration’s policies would do more to help. Nearly one-in-five (17%) volunteer that neither administration’s policies would help.

The Bush years were booming; now, we’re in a depression.

And these fools think Obama’s policies are better for the economy? They’re stuck on stupid.

Well 10% unemployment is better than 4%. It’s bigger.

Economic fruitcakes, easy bake recipe.

How many people polled have a clue of what the Bush or Obama policies ARE ? There is no description of either in this question. So, likely, the respondents answered according to who they like better.

I'd have to agree with the 17%. At this point, it's like trying to turn seafood chowder back into an aquarium.

Zero's policies are doing more harm the economy than Bush's, however.

Elected government cannot work when the voters have mashed potatoes in the cavity where their brains are supposed to be.

1. I know there are about 5 instances since 1960 where tax cuts increased economic activity and growth.

2. Can anyone name an instance where Tax INCREASES increased economic growth?

The Left PRETENDS that the Clinton tax hikes increased the revenue. But it was a boom time and the tax hikes didn’t much get in the way.

The Contract With AMerica kept spending low and the economy grew with the extra cash not spent.

Also, the computer revolution in the 90’s made business HUGELY more efficient.

I thought the Republicans forced Clinton’s hand in cutting taxes during 1998’s balanced budget act.

Besides, the economy had been growing since 1990.

Pew Research is left leaning. That's old news, but I had to look up National Journal. The first thing I did was look through their affiliates. One is part of PBS (tax funded socialism), Government Executive (creates government software and pro green movement (new and improved socialism), The Atlantic (will democrats survive the attacks?), NTI (anti war leftists), The Cook Political Report (How to defeat Republicans).

Well. That pretty much explains why the Marxists are doing so well in this bogus push poll.
