I remember when I was a kid, Canada didn’t bother messing around fighting tundra fires unless they approached towns or habitats. I don’t know what their policies are today.

Most of the fires these days, except for the wildfires, according to the site, are agricultural or charcoal manufacturing. They have near burned all the trees in Africa and the Amazon trying to keep warm and eat.

Odd we never hear about that.
