Here in the hills above Palm Springs it is currently 78 degrees. I have only had to use the A/C twice, and here it is midsummer. The nights are simply amazing, down to the low to mid fifties by morning. Easily the coolest summer in decades. We are 50 miles from the Pacific, but can almost smell it from here. We normally receive a 10% ocean influence, but this year it is over 80%.

Same here, we had 4 days of 90s and the rest of the weeks were highs of 75 with a low of 52.

Well, in Northern Ohio we have had 11 of 28 days 90 or above. Usually we get only a couple all summer. Only 4 days all month below normal, and only by a few degrees.

Many recent summers we ran the air maybe 2 or 3 days all summer. This month it has been on a lot. About 5 years worth. Just got the electric bill today. Ouch!

So, for everyone who can say they are cooler, someone else can say they are hotter.
