Now this makes me sad. Not the Cleese I remember. I shall have to confront him with a rather large badger! That should be “just the thing”!

It seems like Monty Python was full of some unpleasant people particularly Cleese and Eric Idle. I think Palin, Gilliam and Terry Jones (the welshman) were pretty happy go lucky.

Eric Idle sued the fellow he did the Rutles with Neil Innes. Innes wrote all the music and was a pretty decent chap. Idle pretty much brought Innes to financial ruin. I think the only thing that saved Innes was he owned the rights to the music and Idle needed it for the Broadway show. Interestingly - all these events were later wiped from the internet.
