Our only hope may be the courts and I don’t think that will be an easy win with the likes of kagan sitting on the court.

I've been thinking about this. At some point the states may just have to tell the Federal government, SC, Executive branch and Congress, "Stuff it, come enforce your laws." When the government retaliates, with their tried and true method of threatening to with hold funds, the states should just keep all the Federal tax revenues they collect, to make up the shortfall.

The last time I checked, my state, Missouri, got back less per dollar than it sent to DC. So, we would be better of for it, IMO. Let the Federal government fund the military, and all the liberal hand out programs on their own, and see how quickly they become compliant to the wishes of the states.

If the cash is passing through the state treasury office (which a huge portion does), then the state can get it's hands on it. I'd also say that all the way down to the county level, the state has the ability to choke off Federal funds and keep Federal employees from trying to directly collect revenues.

The Dems clearly need to go on the offensive and go forth and tell all about 0care. Especially the reduction in Senior benefits and the possibility of jail time for “offenders”.

The demographic makeup of the county does not reflect the country at large, nor does it reflect the demographic makeup of poor urban districts on the east and west coast of the US where there are people who have lived in poverty on government subsistence for multiple generations.

Except your premise is not reflected in even those areas of Missouri that DO look like the "east and west coast". Look at the link: Kansas City and St. Louis have large urban populations. And how did they vote? While Prop C did fail in those areas, it DID NOT FAIL "overwhelmingly": even about 42% of THOSE voters want to overturn B.O. healthcare.

My point, still valid, is that Democrats always say they speak for the POOR people in our nation. Well, this election showed they DO NOT speak for the poorest people in Missouri.

The NYT is already trying to minimize it by saying that Republicans turned out in disproportionately large numbers because of more hotly contested primaries.

Far more votes were cast in the MO Republican primary than in the Demo primary too.

Democrat Ike Skelton has been elected to 16 consecutive terms since 1976 to the office of US Representative 4th District of Missouri.

Yesterday 80,000 votes were cast in the republican primary in the 4th district of Missouri. Only 32,000 votes were cast in the democrat primary in Skeltons district (Ike got about 26,000).

The 2 leading republicans (Vicky Hartzler 36,000 votes and Bill Stouffer 26,500 votes) received more votes than Ike did in "his district".

16 consecutive terms and Ike only gets 1/3 the votes of the total cast in the republican primary! Democrats voting in the republican primary?

Some republican "experts" feel Hartzler is a far weaker candidate that Bill Stouffer when going head to head with Skelton. Hartzler won because of crossover votes ?

Will the same 3 to 1 ratio of votes be the same in November? Only time will tell.

A landslide of this magnitude is a very big deal.

With weak and corrupt leadership in Washington, the words States Rights will be heard increasing across the nation.

Let us pray the words will be followed by deeds that bring about real change for betterment of the average American.
