August was always the month, when President Bush went to his ranch in Crawford, but unlike the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, President Bush worked during his vacation, as you can see in the photos
Oh patty .. sniff, sniff ..thank you SO much for
finding those pics. What a wonderful and memorable
treat they gave to our ultimately deserving brave
troops. That greeting will be forever burned in
their hearts. Such a loving thing to do. Dubya and
Laura will ALWAYS love, honor and treasure our great
troops, and that love and respect is returned 1000
fold. I just love him even more for doing
this .. whattathrill for the troops.
The folks who volunteer to meet the troops at
DFW Airport are nothing short of awesome. There’s
some folks there to meet EVERY SINGLE troops
flight changing flights or landing there as their
destination.

I’m a bit out of touch, I sent a Frmail to OWF a while back ago asking about Snugs. Hope she is okay, I haven’t heard from OWF or Snugs in about two or three months.

Meanwhile, George W. and Laura were out and about last night attending the Texas Rangers game. Unfortunately, their beloved Rangers lost to the NY Yankees 7-6, but overall they still enjoyed themselves.

The grin on that MAN’s face is because of whom sits beside him, always his support, his love of his life, the mother of his children, and one of the finest women God put on this Earth. Is she without fault? Hardly, but gosh, how blessed is that MAN to have Laura at his side lo these many years!

The father has his arm around the President. He's completely comfortable, because there are no airs........just a regular guy playing with a baby (who clearly is fascinated!) You see that every time President Bush meets people. Comfort.

I always check out this thread but to tell the truth it is hard to do so. It is a painful reminder that the office of the President once held by a man who loved his country and his troops and based his decision on what was best for his people, is now held by one who seems to hate his country and his troops and bases all his decisions on politics and what he thinks is best for him. I miss the class that W displayed.
