Thanks to U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy's ruling (PDF file of preliminary injunction order) that the Endangered Species Act protections must be reinstated for wolves in both Montana and Idaho, be prepared to hear of more reports about large packs of wolves roaming the countryside in neighboring states like the one that was filmed in Oregon.  Even though neither state, Washington or Oregon, were part of the Fish and Wildlife Service's wolf reintroduction program, they are definitely a recipient of the outcome. It was the late "90"s when the first wolves made it to Oregon, now they are beginning to roam in large packs.... (excerpt)

Um, I believe you owe Mariner and us an apology for your personal attack.

Grow up.

From Jack Hydrazine, member since Jan 2010.

Obvious newbie and interloper.

You belong on the Democratic Underground, not on this forum.

Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Wolves, cougars, bears, coyotes, bulls, etc. certainly can and will kill. Stud horses will kill. Domestic dogs kill. Fish can kill.

Whitetail deer kill more Americans than anything else, way beyond rattlesnakes.

I love nature but I realize its raw power, as do you.

When you have rabid coyotes attacking people in and around Atlanta, I’d say the Bureau of Land Mgt, or whichever alphabet agency, aint doing it’s job correctly.

One of the more sensible posts I’ve seen on this thread so far. I use hand loads with Barnes Varmint Grenades (5.56) for coyotes, but an FMJ would work on a wolf. Small hole in, small hole out, and good luck finding the bullet.

Let me get this strait. First you are asked by Jack Hydrazine in comment #43
You didn’t answer my question. Do you want to add more predators to the wild that will result in the deaths of more human beings than what is already occurring?

Then you answer in comment #47
Yes.

To which I say that regardless of when you joined FR, you are a liberal scumbag.
To which you then reply in comment #55
I am no "liberal" in the modern sense and my 100's of posts on the forum prove it.
Which I can only conclude that you are a flaming leftist who infiltrated FR years ago and just now have ]been found out. I say so because the classic argument for liberals is I am not a liberal in the modern sense. That is the exact thing my liberal professor told me in College in the early "80"s when he was bashing Ronald Reagen.

Yeah right. I’m not at all for wolf re-introduction. There is as very good reason why those who settled American killed them off to the point of extinction. Americans are going to have to learn this lesson all over again the hard way. How many American lives will have to be lost in order to learn that lesson is any one’s guess.

You said you wanted to see more Americans die at the hand of wolves; not me.

Wolves don't attack people and as far as I know there's not a documented attack on humans by wolves in over 100 years.

It has been pointed out that your statement is incorrect.

That being said, as long as people and wild animals co-exist, there will be attacks.

So, although it's sad that the woman was killed, I do not advocate either mass slaughter of wolf packs, nor do I advocate a woman jogging alone along a deserted road without protection.

My opinion is, if you're in the woods, carry a side arm.

IMHO...this is all about driving individuals out of the outback into cities where their conduct is more readily monitored...../taking off tinfoil....

Jim;

Just because he called foul first, and pinged you. We defend ourselves.

Jack Hydrazine, let us do this tit for tat shall we. It started with Mariner.

Jim, would you zap this guy too?

He and Jack Hydrazine are attacking people on a personal level and deliberately campaigning to make FR look bad.

Show me where I attacked you? I defended and insulted like you.

Like all marines do.

However, I have not done nothing but fight fire with fire.

So there are tame specimens! I assume quite rarely. My neighbor in Alaska had an 89% wolf hybrid. She looked like a wolf and sang like a wolf. The first time I met her she put her head down and stared at me, with her front legs slightly apart. Wolf! My friend was a wildlife expert and knew how to set up ‘Velma’s’ habitat, how to feed her and how to handle her. My friend established herself as the alpha. I ended up loving that animal. Very intelligent and sociable, sense of humor. Still a wolf; better not let your guard down.

Man, I had a wolf and she was half the size of that one in the photo, and she killed everything.

Can't imagine what that monster would do.

Kill 'em off. Let the coyotes take over. And if they get too brazen, kill them off, too.
