Don’t You Want to Go to a Gay Rally Headlining Ann Coulter?(self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland)
New York Magazine ^ | 8/6/10 | Chris Rovzar

Posted on 08/07/2010 7:21:25 PM PDT by nickcarraway

The five-month-old Republican gay group GOProud wanted to create a big splash with its first convention, Homocon 2010 (that is a real name that we did not make up). And to do so, they lined up a whopper of a headliner. Says chairman Christopher Barron:

"The gay left has done their best to take all the fun out of politics, with their endless list of boycotts and protests. Homocon is going to be our annual effort to counter the ‘no fun police’ on the left. I can’t think of any conservative more fun to headline our inaugural party then the self-professed ‘right-wing Judy Garland’ - Ann Coulter. I can promise you, Homocon 2010 will be a hell of a lot more fun than chaining yourself to the White House fence."

Comparing Ann Coulter to Dorothy might strike you as a little odd, considering she throws around the word "faggot" in a derogatory way. (Someone, perhaps more aptly, compared her to the Wicked Witch of the West on this particular issue.) But somehow her presence is almost less offensive than the fact that Homocon's recruitment poster kinda calls all Democrats gay.

Nonsense. You ‘misunderestimate’ Ann and where her sympathies lie. You fall short when recognizing the breadth of her appeal, and the nature of her natural audience.
But I guess that won’t be confirmed until this event actually happens and you see it for what it is.
Comparing it to Elton John’s million dollar gig at Rush’s wedding ALSO ‘misunderestimates’ both Elton John and the interesting changes that are taking place in our culture
that very few seem to recognize. It’s all about money, huh?
I don’t think so.

Yeah, Ann throws around the word ‘faggot’.
So do ‘faggots’. And they’ve been doing that probably
as long as blacks have been throwing around the notorious
“N-word”. I see no contradiction at all.

FR is not a place to promote the homosexual agenda, according to the owner.

Your promotion of the homosexual agenda is disgusting and I will take note of it and keep you in mind.

Homosexuality has existed since humans existed, along with rape, murder, bestiality and other criminal and perverted acts. Doesn’t make it right, doesn’t make it natural, doesn’t make it harmless, doesn’t make it normal. A few homosexuals doing their thing in private is not the problem.

The problem is their agenda which destroys freedom of religion, association and speech, for starters.

Another highly destructive aspect of the homosexual agenda, which you specifically have promoted on FR, is allowing open homosexuals in the military. This is nothing but destructive.

You are equating people on FR who are opposed to the homosexual agenda with Islamic laws which often mandate execution of homosexuals. This is a conscious lie on your part and reveals more than you think. I don’t hate individuals who practice homosexuality, I am sorry for them, and hope that they seek help, since there are many organizations both secular and faith based that help treat their condition successfully.

Stop it.

Ann has been a great crusader for our side.

Lots of dumb-ass comments on this thread.

Pound sand. Homosexuality is a mental illness. It is a behavior because of mental illness and having a sickness legitimized is NOT a right.

"Is there ANY one that Freepers like that they won’t trash and say they’re swearing off at the very first instance of non-100% agreement?"

So far as I know, just one: Her Imperial Grandiosity. I'm not sure that I'm worthy of typing her name, but HIG can back all the RINO's she wants and mouth all the insipid platitudes you can stomach, yet remains beyond criticism.

I tend to agree. Which is why when people throw around the term “Homophobe,” I respond that I’m not a homophobe just as I’m not at “schizophrenophobe.”

I don’t hate or fear homosexuals. Nor do I think they should be subject to any special persecutions. But we shouldn’t be expected to “tolerate” homosexuality any more than we should be expected to “tolerate” any other psychologoical disorder.

supremedoctrine said in Post 60:The US may be ‘rotting from within’, but it’s NOT because of the FACT of homosexuality, which I’d hoped was one of the points I tried to suggest, if not succesfully make.

Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of time in all cultures, EVERYWHERE on the globe. How those cultures deal with it is what makes the difference between them

We already know how retrogade cultures as different as Communist Cuba, and the Islamic world, deal with homosexuality. You seem to be on the path to join them, with your own “American” version.

So Mr Robinson, what does FR have to say about homosexual apologists? They're getting a little thick around here.

And supremedoctrine wants homosexuals in the military. First or second page of his comments.

I have a brother that's gay. I sit here watching him ruin his life and his health. But he cannot let go of his illness. I used to go to gay bars with him back in the day. I came to love some of those people. But they are on the wrong path. And they know it. So they want to force society to tell them that they are "ok". They aren't. My Hubby and I lost a dear friend to Aids because he couldn't/wouldn't stay away from that life.

That said, it is foolish in the extreme to give a group special rights because of an aberrant behavior brought on by a mental illness.

We have been overrun with apologists. FR is a conservative site that is AGAINST homosexualism. I’m getting tired of having to listen to the excuses they make. It is a sinful and unhealthy lifestyle, personally and for a country.

How much genetic? I think there are honestly other environmental variables at play too. Having known identical twins in which one is gay and the other is married with family, there seem to be environmental influences as well, sort of similar to fingerprints.

I would add that I’m sick and nonsupportive of numerous groups who invoke the name of some religion or political ideology in their title. Please, get me the argument up front. I have heard who knows how many lines of dialogue about what organization you claim to stand for, but what is the dialogue of which you argue?

"Ann has been a great crusader for our side."

Indeed, yet if she turns out to be a 6 foot tall Trojan Horse with an adam's apple, then all of her good work will be undone and turned against us.

Her support of Log Cabin Reupublicans adds to questions about her true nature. Look at the headline for this thread.

And check out GOProud’s legislative agenda.

It’s all about homosexual agenda crap except for lowering taxes and the right to bear arms. Everything else is aggressive “gay” agenda tyranny.

“Homosexuality is a sin. It’s every influence in our country is the beginning of our country’s demise.”

You aren’t even making any sense. If the formation of the US was based on the presence absence of Gays, the country would have never started. Unless, of course, you are proposing that there were no Gays in the US the 1700’s.

Your premise and conclusion does not support historical fact.

When our country was founded, sodomy was in many states a capital crime. The punishments gradually were reduced, but the writes of the Constitution and those who came after them obviously considered homosexual acts worthy of criminal penalty.

RushingWater’s statement makes absolute sense. Agitating for special rights for a group that has a mental illness makes no sense.

“The punishments gradually were reduced, but the writes of the Constitution and those who came after them obviously considered homosexual acts worthy of criminal penalty.”

So, you’re saying that simply making laws against homosexuality gets the country off the hook with God? So, if we make a law against say.....Muslims, Sikhs, or Hindus, then God will throw all sorts of blessings our way and the Republic will survive and prosper? I really do think it takes a bit more than that to gain the benefits of divine providence.

Sorry, your theory is becoming more “theoretical” the more you post.
