Never seen so many Amish in one place!
Never seen so many Amish in one place!
Now, just imagine if something happens and there is a shortage of food in areas like this.
Give them folks they Obama money!
Glen Beck stated that this was to just sign up to get on a waiting list, not actual housing that is available.
sad.
I think maybe the mosquito nets and ripple plastic roofing shanty towns could be a future landscape if people are homeless and need shelter. Hope not.
Well .. Damn.
I got so excited about the Amish thing that I ‘just had’ to post it twice! 8)
Wait’ll they hear about the cuts to the Food Stamp Program...
all fits in with Michelle’s get lean program:)
O'Bama is getting behind on green jobs and the civilian military police forces.
Once these people get employed in those union secured positions, they won't need the section 8 housing.
This happened in East Point, a small, poor suburb of Atlanta. As you can tell by the photos they are not a sophisticated bunch. My wife would be a upset with me if I stopped there to get gas at night. The city had no idea what they were causing. They thought they would hand out some forms and be done.
I heard on the radio today they opened a drive through window to collect the applications.
Build it and they will come. Give it away and they will come.
Well .. I’ll Be Damn .. Black Amish!
I'm sure a crowd at a U2 concert looks similar from the air.
East Point is a suburb of Atlanta near the airport. Local news has reported that there are only 655 Sec 8 units in East Point. The waiting list had been depleted so East Point handed out applications yesterday for the waiting list. No units are currently available. It may take as long as 10 years for people to get off the waiting list. The waiting list last opened approximatey 8 years ago. People started camping out more than a day before the applications were available. Applicants came from all over metro Atlanta as well as from other states. East Point officials said that yesterday was a success because there were no serious injuries and no arrests.
I'm sure not with all of them. Where are these 30,000 living right now? Are they all on the streets? They are able bodied enough to stand around in the heat to get on a waiting list for hand outs that's for sure. As we've seen with all kinds of welfare, there's an awful lot of fraud that goes on.

A bullet proof one I hope
They had the famous veterans bonus march and the US Army called out to run them out of DC.

I tell you this, I sure as hell wouldn’t want to have rental properties in Atlanta.
Supposedly Section 8 is optional for landlords, but I bet that will change real soon, when denying a Section 8 voucher holder will get you sued for discrimination.
Looks like the bleeding hearts got the video now to show more public housing is needed. How many more billions will Uncle Bam and company allocate to fill that "need"?
