This humorous statement hits home with what any adult with a brain knows: Sex is very, very important to men. Research consistently shows that between 80 and 90 percent of men view sex as the most important aspect of their marriage. When asked what one thing they would like to change in their marriages, they wish that their wives would be more interested in sex and more willing to initiate physical intimacy.

His conclusion was the best part: Everything written here applies under two conditions: 1. The woman is married to a good man. 2. She wants him to be a happy husband. If either condition is not present, nothing written here matters.

The genders could be reversed with exactly the same result. I can't believe the number of marriages that fail in the absence of these two conditions. Some people just pick a bad spouse, and all the trying in the world won't turn a jerk into a loving partner.

If I was dictator, people would not be allowed to marry until 30, and then only with a super majority vote of approval from all family and friends. The divorce rate is so sad, especially with young children. A jerk will always be a jerk.

Here's something this article doesn't mention: Men equate sex with love, not for them but for women. If a woman doesn't give him sex regularly then he feels she doesn't love him. Many women will not respond to foreplay etc except maybe a few times a week, or in some cases, a few times a month. Doesn't matter what the husband does or doesn't do they will not have sex with him other than the times she feels she wants, or needs, to.

The husband then feels unloved and goes else where for the love and quite frequently finds it and the marriage ends one way or another.

I remember my Uncle, when told I was getting married, said, "he would be better off dead".

A poor guy who never got sex from his wife and was constantly reminded about how much better her first husband was in bed. Turns out he was right, but I did better than him and got a divorce.
