Has the American royal family, or its entourage, been to New York City lately? During the last few months while Bloomberg has been increasing cigarette taxes, eliminating trans-fats and inviting the Muslims to build a mosque near the WTC site the bedbugs have been taking over Manhattan at the Abercrombie & Finch and Victoria’s Secret locations. If the bedbugs are in the clothing locations only the lord knows how many New York City sleeping locales have them.
A new excuse to stay away from home for the rest of his term?
Don't forget many upscale and lowbrow hotels and the CNN offices in Manhattan.

Renovation of the White House took place during the Truman Administration (1948-1952):

This was a major renovation, in which the 1790 White House was gutted and rebuilt from within.
White House Chef did up a nice Sunday ham for dinner. It is Ramadan you know.

So used renovation instead and interesting March 09 Obamas said they would NOT use tax payers money to renovate White House and then other articles May 2010 saying Obamas are renovating White House but will stay there.
