Also, Bush was more firm in his commitment to Taiwan, Obama is not. There are new Pentagon reports predicting the same fears and Taiwan just requested that the U.S. sell them weapons as of 9 hours ago, China still has 1300 missiles aimed at Taiwan. Obama is more worried about his golf game.
