Three-term Sen. Patty Murray battles to keep role as ordinary folks' champion
SEATTLE — When President Barack Obama touched down here in Seattle on Tuesday, he came face-to-face with yet one more reminder of the electoral threats facing his Democratic Party in the runup to this fall's midterm elections.
Starring at two Seattle fundraisers Tuesday for Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., Obama came to the aid of a Democrat who in an ordinary year would likely be cruising toward election to a fourth term in the Senate.
"When this state sent Patty to the Senate, she wasn’t one of these lifelong politicians who wanted the job or the position for a fancy title or a nice office," Obama told the fundraiser at Seattle's Westin hotel. "She was a self-described mom in tennis shoes who was just looking to help a few people solve a few problems. And all these years later, Patty is that same person — except she’s helped a whole lot of people solve a whole lot of big problems."

Then they had to scramble jets out here and sonic boom the whole freakin’ tri-county area just because some blip appeared in the restricted airspace, annoying the few non-sycophants who didn’t go to Pike Place to slob on this dope’s knob.

My Dad used to work for the state back when patty was a state legislator. She was the one, in the briefing meetings, that they all had to slow down for. She just didn’t understand things. Simple things. She’s really as dumb as a post.
I honestly think she’s mentally retarded. For real. Somebody will have to explain to her very slowly and carefully, after she loses, why she doesn’t have to go back to DC next year.
The only one she’s helped is herself...
