He always reminds me of a kid who has been told his whole life that he is the smartest, best looking, etc human being. He cannot fathom anyone not thinking every word he deems to utter is pure gold. I think the term for that is arrogance.
Actually, arrogance is just a cover for the narcissism, the TOTAL self-centeredness.
A narcissist has a very high opinion of himself, to be sure,
but a narcissist is also VERY susceptible to any slight criticism.
