Obama: Social Security 'is not in crisis'
The Hill ^ | August 18, 2010 | Jordan Fabian

President Obama said Social Security is not in crisis and only modest changes are needed to keep it solvent.

The president acknowledged at a small town hall gathering in Columbus, Ohio, Wednesday that the pension fund "has to be tweaked because the population is getting older" but said Republicans' plans to drastically overhaul the program are wrong.

The chances of his claim is slim to none; and slim's out of town.

In the meantime while the pigs in DC give themselves raises, COLA's for SS have been stopped for two years for those most needing it.

Not even liberal kids believe this. His is whistling past the cemetery.
The only possible solution to SS crisis involve inflation, reduction in benefits and personalizing accounts.

He is definitely living in an alternate universe. From what I have read 90% of the black population is there with him.

Big trouble, Obama, big trouble.

We used to have 10 people working to support those on Social Security. It still takes 10 people but 8 of them are in other countries. We need a social security tax on these workers. American workers are taxed why not foreign workers? No wonder jobs and factories are exported.

How is the view up there in that deep, dark hole where your head has been of late, Mr. Obama?

(SS is in deep doo-doo.)

“Obama: Social Security ‘is not in crisis’

Right, and the economy is recovering. Obama lives in his own world, which he shape and mold at will, depending on what he thinks people want to hear. I cannot fathom how he expects to be believed. Not even Bill Clinton would stray so far from reality on a regular basis.

Proof positive that the Looon-O-dent:

1) doesn’t have a clue (highly likely in light of his completely bogus education and degrees)
2) is lying out of his Obamahole (also highly likely in light of the fact that he’s a democrat)

I respect a fly that’s been sunbathing on dog doo than I do this piece of human excrmement.

Obama, perhaps you can get a job more befitting your limited mental and moral abilities - such as janitor in Mecca.

Such as increasing everyone's taxes - especially our children's.

SS has been insolvent since day one. We have never collected the amount any insurance company would have in order to make it solvent, and we never will.

The only question is who gets screwed, and when. Right now who is everyone who deals in dollars and does not receive SS; when is continuously since 1935. Theft always hurts those who are robbed.

Like what?

...invent a time machine to go back and prevent the government from raiding it and leaving fistfuls of IOUs in the till?

Look at all the things that are not A Crisis, that the white house treats as such.

And now things that are in crisis, are declared to be crisis-free.

He’s inside out!

Actually, I think he’s just repeating the chant that Republicans will take away your SS, so vote Democrat. he must twist logic to get there, but that’s the most important message to get out every election.

Well, Obama ought to know. He’s got at least seven Social Security numbers in his name.

Technically he’s right. Social Security is fine, it’s the nation’s budget that has to now pay for it which is in crisis.
