What Homocon is all about
World Net Daily ^ | August 25, 2010 | Joseph Farah

Posted on 08/25/2010 5:13:51 PM PDT by Sola Veritas

There's been some confusion about this event next month called Homocon, sponsored by GOProud, which bills itself as a Republican and conservative "gay" group. At first glance, the group's platform may have some appeal to conservatives – and I have no doubt that some of the group's members actually vote Republican. "GOProud represents gay conservatives and their allies," claims a mission statement on the group's website. "GOProud is committed to a traditional conservative agenda that emphasizes limited government, individual liberty, free markets and a confident foreign policy. GOProud promotes our traditional conservative agenda by influencing politics and policy at the federal level." But, to be sure, this group is a camel trying to get its nose under the tent of a movement it perceives as a threat to the radical homosexual agenda that includes same-sex marriage and open homosexuals serving in the U.S. military, among other things. Exhibit A in my case is this quote from the chairman of the board of GOProud, Christopher Barron, from a Twitter posting of 4:04 p.m. Aug. 4, just before announcing his big coup – the signing of a speaking contract with conservative superstar Ann Coulter at his Homocon event in September: "We are a gay organization, we only work on gay issues, we have never claimed otherwise. My God people." What is at the heart of evil in our world, and how do we lessen its power in our own lives? ... Some conservatives have tried to explain Coulter's appearance at Homocon as part of the old Ronald Reagan philosophy – the so-called 80-20 rule: If you agree with someone 80 percent of the time and disagree 20 percent, then he's your political ally. Maybe so. But let's evaluate the GOProud agenda through the prism of Reagan's 80-20 rule..

Now folks are trying to descredit Farah for speaking (unpaid) on a radio show hosted by a homosexual. They try to make it equivalent to Coulter being "paid" to speak at Homocon. The two are not equivalent.

Bottom line is that Farah makes a very good case. Once again I will say that Ann needs to wise up, swallow her pride, refund Homocon's money, and don't have anything to do with them.

“My butt hurts.”

And this means? Sorry I’m not always fast on the uptake.

"...conservative "gay" group."

Sort of an oxymoron, isn't it?

I’m not sure what you mean.

However, I will again get on my soapbox.......I can’t stand the word “gay” used to homosexuals. There is nothing gay about being a homosexual.

Homocon is the big push attempt to make homosexuality ‘mainstream’ in the republican party. Specifically trying to make it ‘conservative’ and thus somehow palatable to other republicans.

They are trying to say you can be conservative and gay at the same time. This is a much bigger deal than people are giving it credit. It’s a huge philosophy/frame shift that’s being attempted here.

“It’s a huge philosophy/frame shift that’s being attempted here.”

I fully agree. Otherwise I wouldn’t waste my time posting on the issue. I don’t like bashing Ann Coulter....but she is just DEAD wrong on this issue.

I have yet to meet a truly happy homosexual. Most are extremely depressed or extremely angry.

I meant it in the vernacular sense where “that’s so gay” is equivalent to “that’s so lame” but I also wanted it to be slightly ambiguous as to what I meant.

They are trying to say you can be conservative and gay at the same time.

What's really even more weirder is a bunch of them are saying they are Christian. Personally I see the gay life style and Christianity as being incompatible with each other Biblically. I don't know what type of Biblical reasoning they use but it's got to be pretty weird, and from a pretty small Bible, with most of the scripture thrown out.

I will make this succinct:

There is no such thing as a Conservative Sodomite. The two are mutually exclusive for the following single and clear reason.

Conservatives support Limited Self Government.

Limited Self Government is result of Self Control and Self Limits.

Gays. Fagots. Queers. Homosexuals. Sodomites. Are those persons who are lacking the ability to control their lusts.

They lack self limiting, self control.

They lack the very prerequisite for self government.

Our Constitution was written for a moral people and it is totally unsuited to govern any other type of people.

Thus, those lacking self control in their lusts cannot exercise self government, and are therefore NOT Conservative.

They are liars, frauds, simulacrums, impostors, pretenders, fakes, deceivers.

We must in no means, for no reason ally ourselves with them, for it will be the very cause of our undoing.

I site the recent example of the outing of former GOP Chair Ken Mehlman. He is now an admitted sodomite, is it any wonder the total failure of his leadership on conservative issues?

There is no such thing as a Conservative Sodomite. The two are mutually exclusive. Shame and shun them.

Homosexual "Christians" claim the Bible really doesn't condemn homosexuality. They claim Leviticus condemns temple prostitution and Romans 1 applies to heterosexuals engaging in homosexual behavior.

Once again I will say that Ann needs to wise up, swallow her pride, refund Homocon's money, and don't have anything to do with them.

"And Jesus said, speak not to any who do not belong, neither teach them your position, nor bear witness to the truth, but understand my love shines best in scorn, derision and above all shunning. Reject those who dare speak, do no let their words be heard, judege them not by what they say, but by where they dare to say it, and remember, God's love is best protected in the dark of fearful silence."
