Sharpton had a wet dream once. That about as close as he’s ever been to MLK or his message of peace and unity.
Sharpton got a late start organizing his rally. He only decided to do it after he learned that Glenn Beck was going to be at the Lincoln Memorial today. He wanted so desperately to have a counter-demonstration and have a huge crowd too.
Sharpton’s crowd was less than 10,000 from estimates I have heard. But, he only did this because of Glenn Beck. It takes time and energy and committment to organize big events. Al couldn’t do it this time.
