Exactly right.
That’s why we fund individual candidates, the RNC continues in the same alternative universe they have been.

I’m still convinced that the downturn in mid to late 2008 was because the business community saw that Obama was likely to win and it scared them witless.

Business hates uncertainty, which also helps explain why we seem to have a downturn every four years right before presidential elections. Right now, business is fearful over the upcoming healthcare costs, cap & trade and enviornmental reg threats, stimulus money that's being spent to buy votes while business taxes are way too high.

Business was already pulling back, knowing the Democrat congress was over spending and wanted to raise taxes.  We have to remember, Democrats controled spending starting in 2007.  Bush's fault is he went along with too much of it.

altura, I agree. MOOCheele is a media creation.

I still view her much the same way I originally viewed her: mad at America, but now she's even worse. She's acting like a pompous, privileged, fat arse.

re: Covert Affairs

It’s an entertaining show. My favorite character is the blind guy. I remember him from a show called Jake 2.0 It’s a shame, however, that our real CIA is nowhere near as competent and effective (nor truly committed to America’s best interests, at least at the leadership levels) as the idealized version in the TV series... /g For some additional escapist fun in the same vein, you might check out White Collar on USA Network.

I’m not overly concerned about the mantra “tax cuts for the rich”. Reason being the independents have smartened up considerably and will not be fooled by such tripe.

The mentally challenged voters, and there are many, will be unlikely to get out and vote. The pack of cigs or bottle of cheap wine as payment no longer entices them.

Heck, 99 weeks of unemployment will buy the cigs and wine. They’ll sleep in on this election.

UGH. I miss Brit on the panel every time Juan opens his mouth.

Thankfully, Chris Wallace threw him a couple of factoids.

Really, what is Ploufe going to say...”Yeah, things stink, vote us out”? He’s in the same spot that the GOP was in 06 and 08. It’s just nice to watch them squirm and make inept and ineffective arguments.

Thank you for reminding me of where I’d seen the ‘blind guy’ before. Stuff like that haunts me.

Agree with whoever said both blondes are incredibly attractive and different looking - two generations of beauty.

“Lindsey Graham is pretending to be conservative today.”

Happy Labor Day all!

Just dipping in for a few minutes. Did you see this yet?:

Aiken (SC) GOP censures Graham
The Standard, Aiken, SC / The Herald, Rock Hill, SC ^ | 2010-09-05 | Rob Novit

AIKEN — The Aiken County Republican Party has approved a formal censure of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.

The party’s executive committee took the action Thursday, joining a handful of other county parties, including Greenville’s GOP.

Committee member Pete Seaha, who also is the Aiken County Tea Party chairman, wrote the resolution and introduced it at the meeting. The resolution states in part that Graham won’t be invited to any party meetings or events.

“I don’t believe the senator is sticking to conservative Republican principles,” said Seaha. “In my mind, the senator has disrespected his constituents. He has said publicly on a talk show that he didn’t care what they thought.”

Seaha said it was his understanding that 18 people on the executive committee supported the resolution, while two opposed it and two abstained.

I don’t think that Barry and Michelle even like each other. They never act the least bit affectionately.

I think she feels trapped in the White House, because although she thinks she is entitled to act like Marie Antoinette, she doesn’t like being held up to any criticism whatsoever.

She has the race chip on the shoulder that so many American blacks carry, big time. And she cannot get away from it, even as First Lady. It is so much a part of her core being.

Hmmm, just an assumption, and I just proved what that does.

I knew a Morgan “him” once, but most of the Morgans I know are “shes”.

Sorry Morgan. Pleased to meet you...again.

The efforts of the msm on moochie’s behalf all went for naught when she went to Spain on that five day junket.

I think he will run as far away as he can from zero and hope that all his DNC buddies recall is that he got zero elected

Bozo the clown could of got 0 elected given the political enviorment he ran in and the utterly inept campaign the McCain team ran. Plouffe is another media manufactured sensation, not really all that good at his job just unnaturally lucky.

True, I just lump them in the RAT category, like former Sen (yay)Arlen Sphincter and my two Senators.
